i love your whispering using this mic, especially when i can hear the wisps of breath, something that other mics of yours don't really catch i think. it really gives off that feeling of someone actually whispering in my ears

Ah, mystery solved about the fleece sweater. I think it blends in well with the background, it definitely is an awesome gift. Also very interesting ramble. Subscribed after I watched Gibi's video featuring you. You were pretty on point about Easter traditions (I'm from the Philippines). Filipinos do reenactments in provinces as part of Holy Week celebrations. Though some pastors here don't encourage the super accurate Crucifixion reenactments. A lot of people here focus on Bisita Iglesia where we visit 7 churches and pray in each of them. This video was so good!

Fellow Austrian here and my Family celebrates Eastern a bit differently than the rest of Austria… We already go on Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday instead of Sunday due to logistics, them being going to church on Saturday for “Fleischweihe” which is basically a usual church service, with an added blessing of the meat that we’ll eat for Easter (usually “Geselchtes” spoken “Gsöchtes” which is just cold pork meat that you put on some bread slices)- And because of this service being on Saturday, we celebrate Eastern on Saturday, because it makes it easy for us adults to hide the eggs, chocolate and small gifts while the children accompany other adults to church 😄

Here in Australia the Easter hat/bonnet parade is a common thing for school children to do. They will decorate a hat at home and then in the week before Easter at school there will be an “Easter hat parade” usually parents will attend to watch.

I think you are correct about the US Easter traditions being very similar to German ones. Although in my experience, Good Friday is not a universal day off. I'm also guessing that the no meat on Friday is a Protestant thing as Catholics aren't supposed to eat it on any Friday during Lent. Thanks!

Also, the Philippines doing the crusifiction thing makes sense it was colonized by spain so they have a very strong Christian influence there. It is also common to meet folks with names that are very hispanic or European sounding from the Philippines due to Spain's residual influences.

I live in Minnesota, and we've never made bonnets for Easter! My family is pretty religious and so Good Friday and Easter Sunday primarily consist of church services for us, but the kids still go on Easter Egg hunts and get candy as well. Giving small gifts is not uncommon either, but at the same time I wouldn't say most families do it either.
