I’ve been super slumpy and super sick in September so not a great combination for reading! I managed to read 6 books but I definitely wanted to get to more. Well done for reading so many off of your TBR! I’m sorry to hear about your job but I’m glad you’ve found something else ❤

I loved Haunting Adeline, it took me down a dark romance rabbit hole lol but i also understand why its so controversial and mixed reviews on it. H.D Carlton had another book called Does it Hurt? And it isnt AS dark which i also loved from her Also really loved Forth Wing, i gave it 5 stars but it was also my intro to fantasy. I preordered iron flame heheh, hope you enjoy🥰

Aha Haunting Adeline was my first dark romance! I’m definitely gonna read more now 😅 but yeah, I understand it too. And ouu I’ll have to check that one out! That’s awesome about fourth wing! I think I’m gonna start it today 🥰🥰🥰

i love the book The Haunting of hill house, it is not very like the show so anything you know of those characters put out of your mind while reading. Unfortunately i didn't think much of the show, it felt like it was trying not to be the book while using parts of the book that then undermined the thesis that the show seemed to be going for. The book is more understated and psychological, and shirley jackson was an incredible writer, i also recommend We Have Always Lived in the Castle, and The Sundial.

Thank you for this! It seems like it was good I watched the show first then haha cause I would’ve been comparing them a lot. But I will put it out of my head when I read the book! I love psychological so I’m excited 😁 and thank you! I’ll look into those books as well 🫶🏼

Anything Shirley Jackson is amazing! I’ve read everything she’s written and I’ve never given anything less than 4 stars. My favourite is bird nest if you’re looking for another really good one!
