I saw some people commenting about the quality of the new mic compared to the other one. I know a few things about microphones (just the basics) so hopefully I can give a hand!: Maybe the other mic was picking up more of the outside/background noise instead of her voice because the positioning wasn't the best (I'm not certain about this bc I couldn't really tell if the front of the mic was pointing at her, but I thought of it as a possibility). In general, this type of condenser microphones pick up sounds from the front and "rejects" anything coming from the sides and back of it; so the positioning will also matter with the new one! You can always look up if your microphone is a condenser and what type it is (the polar pattern): cardioid, figure 8, etc. 💜

This mic is a nice improvement. your other mic might be more sensitive, but background noise is an ASMR spoiler. This is good! TY
