It might be a cliché (and actually a bit of an understatement), but I do believe that this particular ASMRtist should be considered a national treasure(y), and should be protected with all due accord and at all appreciable cost. @@kirsteen1073 I only put on ASMR when I go to sleep. So initially I listen and it relaxes me and I doze off. But if later in the video there are loud sounds it will wake me. I have noticed many ASMR artists put the “noisy portion” at the beginning and then it get more quiet relaxing and “whisper like” which is perfect so you don’t get woke up to some loud paper shuffling or whatever. And often I can just fast forward to the quieter portion of the video. 👍

Something about this sounds more harsh than usual. Like too much noise removal or compression. All the sounds of movement of your clothes and stuff aren’t as tingly as usual.

It’s not for everyone. The apparent uneventfulness and low-key nature of it are part of its appeal for some.
