ASMR Teaching You Basic Chinese

This video includes whispering, sharpie sounds, and paper sounds. In the spirit of Chinese New Year, I decided to make a video teaching you guys some Chinese! I'm obviously not a professional Chinese teacher but I have been learning Chinese since I was very young.

Yeah! But in Chinese there’s not really an “Alphabet”. It’s more complicated 😊

@@inversity_OP kinda: it uses a system of characters that are picto/ideographs, which were invented by the chinese for the chinese language(s). china then spread the characters to much of the rest of east asia (japan, korea, and vietnam at least, of which only japan still uses them). But, because different languages have different grammatical structures, the characters didn't fit japanese as well as they fit chinese, leading to the creation of some systems of syllable characters that represent sounds and not things/ideas, which are used along with the chinese characters to write modern japanese. the chinese characters are called hanzi in mandarin, and kanji in japanese (kanji being a japanese pronunciation of an older form of the word hanzi) hope this made sense

super informative! i was reading this one chinese book and sometimes the wording and translations were talked about in the translator notes, but they always confused me. this definitely cleared up a lot of my questions!!

The word for toilet was one of the first pronunciation problems I had my first few months in China...getting that "Ts" sound right...lol

I like ASMR teaching because it make me feel more relaxed and get into my mind wow and not only all the. Asmr I like the one with the better voice and you’re the exact one so I need more and Your lesson make me feel like a Chinese people

Oh, your accent when you say 是 is different than what I'm used to from the northern mainland part. It sounds like Szechuan province but I didn't know it was a Taiwanese thing too? (that is, the 是, sounding without the "sh" sound)

@@SunnySweetsASMR to me the way you pronounce “是” sounds like a Taiwanese accent because they don’t really pronounce 儿 dialect like the mainland does (hard ér) :D

When I am taking the Chinese language exam. 1st my classmates : ah...! I don't like Chinese exam. 2nd my classmate : It's have exam every year. Me : come on, forget about it Female Chinese teacher : alright, listen to me, the Chinese language test has a total score of 30. If you answer 1 wrong, 1 point will be deducted. But if you answer more than 15 questions wrong or less than half of the answer is correct. That student will immediately fail the Chinese language exam. Me : oh man! it's the subject that worries me the most! Wait a minute, what kind of paper? *female Chinese teacher hold the paper test* Me : PAPER TEST!!!!!!😱 Female Chinese teacher : let's begin. Me : fine, it's just try it. 1st my classmate : What the hell? Whatever! My friend and I have to take this exam. 2nd my classmate : Don't worry, man - I will try my best.
