18:03 it’s coated in tajin and you have to lick it for a few mins to get to the watermelon. At first I hated them but now I love them

I used to live in Mexico (when I was 4-9) and this brought back so many memories I forgot I had, like getting duvalins, and pelons. If you ever get to try a mamut they’re pretty good 😊.

YES, all of the vero candies slap! The only thing is you have to taste the Chili powder first, and then you get to the sweet part. A lot of Mexican candy is themed with spice and tamarind, it’s an extremely unique idea of fun.

24:07 these are literally so good. In my class our Spanish teacher gifts them to us when we behave. We call them "chiclosos" and I am obsessed with the cherry one. I'm glad you like them, love from Mexico

There are SO much Mexican candy that you havent tried that I would recommend (not all spicy ones) and I loved how someone who is Mexican gets to see their childhood candy being tasted. :)

18:00 I love those!! The problem is that you didn’t reach to the lollipop itself, you just tried the dry powder, that does not taste good. That candy consists of like a layer of chilli candy and then there is the lollipop, and on top of that layer there is that powder that you tasted

Rebanaditas - you could "wash" it to remove the salty layer and then you'll find the watermelon

I’m super jealous, I’m half Mexican in the US and all the Mexican shops near me are far away from my house. So on the rare occasion my mom goes to one of those shops she always gets us a little treat, usually a paleta payaso 😊

The “rebanaditas” lollipop does have WAY too much chili powder, but if you manage to get through the powder, the actual watermelon flavored part is REALLY good. I can confirm because i am of mexican heritage and i also live in mexico

I'm mexican Dido, and I love Aciduladitos too, my favorite the red wrapper. And with the Lucas, I don't like really, I love the spicy snacks,but I think, Lucas are very spicy, soo I can understand that you didn't like it. And another candy that it's very famous in México is Mazapan, its made with peanuts, I think you love it if you trying to taste.And with the little slices, they are very spicy, but it's just a layer of chili, then it's a watermelon-flavored popsicle, I like it a lot, but it's very spicy.

I noticed that most of the candies they provided are quite old. Some of the consistency of some of them are not the way they meant to be,like Duvalin it shouldn’t be hard it’s really soft and creamy, or the Pulparindo,the tend to taste funny when they get old. Im happy you’re trying different things :)

When I saw him throw back the lucas I was like NOOOOO! It's a hand to tongue thing or I put some on a lollipop. Liquid or powder, Lucas either goes on lollis or chips. Chamoy is life. And yes that watermelon chili lolli is part of our food pyramid since childhood. The best part of that watermelon chili lolli is after you brave the chili the watermelon is super sweet and yummy. I still eat one every now and then.

I live in America, but my heritage is heavily Norwegian. I’d love to see Norwegian candies! I also happen to speak semi fluent Spanish. I might be able to understand some of what the candies are named.

Bro there some corn ones that taste so damn good but the watermelon ones I like to run through water and get the powder off lmao. If you want to try a really good spicy one, try a Rockaleta those are great and have layers of sweet and spicy with sweet gum in the middle

Where did u get this? Is it a sub box? I live in Tx and Mexican candy minus some of our chocolate candy is so much better. When grocery shopping we do 2 stores a regular one and a Mexican one and it’s hard to find candy they are always being sold before they can replace

You should try peruvian candy, its not as unique on the whole but some if it is soooo good! Edit: also if you ever try canadian candies you should try some chicken bones, theyre a regional thing and not well known outside the maritimes but they're probably the strangest candies native to canada
