please don't ever apologize for a few mispronunciations!!! you have some of the best english ive ever heard from a non-native english speaker; your vocabulary is larger than a lot of the people who were born and raised here in america. everyone understands that you can never be perfect, but you come pretty damn close. a couple mess-ups are normal!!

I always find it heart-warming how she can't seem to get "cedar" correct (even though she does eventually), it reminds me that she is human and not this mythical, ethereal being that has come to this planet to bless us with her ASMR magic. (btw Maria if you're reading this cedar is pronounced "SEE-der" to you did get it right)

bozzie83 I honestly smile so wide when she's unsure. I stumble around on words, too (also bilingual english/Russian speaker) and people do make fun of me and I get embarrassed. So I'm guessing she's felt like that too, but this is such a good community that loves her so she doesn't even need to apologize

Concerning the voice: #1 is the best for soft voice #3 is the best for whispers #2 is the best for personal attention Concerning the triggers: The #1 was the most soothing for the pine balls & the hairbrushing The #2 was the most soothing for the sequin & the tapping with the orange bag The #3 was heaven for the pink com in plastic bag & the scalp massage Of course, that's just my opinion but I hope it help ! :D that was a greaaaaaat video !

Maria, I thought each mic had its moment where it sounded the best depending on your positioning. #1 seemed best when you leaned to the side and whispered close while still being in front of us. #2 seemed best when you were centered in front of us. #3 sounded best from the peripheral and behind. Maybe that's just me, but figured I'd give you a breakdown :) Thank you for always putting out great videos for us. You're my favorite (and my first!) ASMRtist

*MIC FEEDBACK* *Ear-2-Ear & Behind You* #1 by far for best ear-2-ear and behind you. best isolation for talking in 1 ear to another. however *mic #2* is a close second for omni directional talking while not as good as 3 in terms of isolating your voice into 1 ear alone. its a close second :) :NOTE: however i need to point out Mic #2 might not be the best thing for close whispering from behind. i noticed some extreme mic popping while talking. but id asume with some editing it could be the king of all kings for close up ear whispering! *Ceder Balls* unsure if this was intentional or somehow got the audio channels stuck in a monaural. but #2 i heard no stereo sound what so ever. no matter how many times you moved them around the mic or from left to right. it still somewhat felt like it was coming from 1 fixed point of origin. id say *Mic #1* wins this category. again if we are going on terms of isolating the sound into 1 mic to another it, it done the job better than the other 2! *Scratchy Sequence* this was a tough choice for me. Mic #3 just won by a inch compared to Mic #1. both mics had better sharpness and was subtle in the process of the scratching. they also had the best stereo output compared to #2 witch again sounded like it was monaural. *orange bag* again it seems to be boiling down to mic's #1 & #3. they both showed the best in terms of directional tapping. #1 by far best the most crisp mic. picking up the tapping in all its glory *ALL HAIL TAPPING* - Mic #2 i dunno whats up with it but its feeling awfully lack lustering in terms of stereo audio. *Comb In Plastic* its at this point im completely surprised. Mic #2 actually sounded like it was omni directional :D and was the clear winner for crinkles. #3 would be a second choice but just sounds like its being restricted in picking up the crisp plastic bag. *Hair Brushing* i personally felt #2 came out the best but was a weird yet oddly tough choice. for some reason! as Mic #2 thus far in certain category's have felt under whelming. yet it sounds the best in terms of scratching / hair brushing and crinkles Tested and listened to on - Asus Cerberus Gaming headset (20 - 20000Hz) frequency range w/ 32 Ohms - Sennheiser HD 558 (15 - 28,000 Hz) frequency range w/ 50 Ohms *PLEASE KEEP IN MIND* this is purely from my perspective. everything said here is feedback from me personally, and others may or may not agree depending on the audio devices used to listen to this (IE: Ear buds / wireless headsets / Over the ear headsets etc etc)

For me, it's #1 then #2. My problem with number 3 is that the sounds are a little too crisp for me, almost harsh. Also, when you talk, number 3 pushes all these little "mouth sounds" into the foreground which takes away from the relaxation, in my opinion. Thanks for all you do!

Mic 1 and 2 (mostly 2) make for a better ASMR experience as they add a very slight hollow echo-ey-ness to the sounds. I get that mic 3 has the better sound quality BUT it does not make for a better ASMR experience for me anyway. Like the video you did with the telephone customer service rep selling superpowers. The distortion of the phone call sounding voice made for the best ASMR experience. Perfectly real crystal clear sound doesn't give me tingles. That slight hollow echo gives the sounds more pop for me. Yup,mic 2. Thanks for this!

Okay! I've watched the video twice now to make sure I found my favorites. I love the way microphone #3 sounds when you speak. It's very crisp and it just feels/sounds incredible, however, I personally believe that microphone #1 sounds better when you're tapping or handling objections. The crinkles and vibrations of the object can be heard so much better when using #1 or #2. I'm so torn! 😭

1- whispers were really good, no background noises or if there was very very minimal. Soft spoken was good too. 2- slight background noise, but it wasn't bad at all. It was very good for the sounds of the pillow. So tapping and stuff I feel would be good on this mic. Whisper was good too but there was the slightest rumble when you breathed in the mic, but the soft spoken was really really good even though I know this was all technically whisper. I think this mic overall would be good for rollplays. 3- I like the pillow on this one. I think this mic was good in tapping. Alittle background noice here too. The whisper didn't have the little rumble. I think this mic was good at close up whispers. I think you used this in the inaudible whispers video? The choice of which i liked best is hard because they're all really good Mics. I think my overall favorite was one though.

Definitely either #1 or #2. I personally prefer the *light* background noise accompanied by your voice. #3 was virtually silent except for your voice, it was almost crisp sounding and it didn’t have a strong amount of bass, which is something I prefer with your voice. #1 & #2 worked both for your voice & the trigger sounds in my opinion! x

Ok. I went back to this 4x with 2 diff earbuds & a high-quality headset, Maria! I work w/ A/V stuff so.. ok! #2 is def a NO across all categories. #1 & 3 - very close.#1 is warmer, more enveloping, more full, LOUDER, & MUCH better with tapping & sounds. #3 is indeed crisper, but it's a "cooler" sound as well. Tapping is lost. The crinkling doesn't "fill" ur ears. I think it's a good niche for videos in which u primarily speak. Hope that helps. :)

They are all good for different noises. #1 is great for low noises like tapping, movement, and soft spoken #2 is a great mid range mic for soft spoken and whisper. Great for role play. #3 is great for higher noises such as tapping with finger nails or "sk" type noises, best for scratching sounds I would recommend sennheiser and shure microphones personally. Depending on what model you get, they are very well rounded with some even having different Polaroid patterns for endless possibilities for ASMR innovation. Thank you for listening Maria. (:

-- Short answer -- If you wanna just use just 1 mic, my favorite was #3. If you plan to use multiple still, I would use #3 for mostly voice videos, and then #2 for mostly prop videos (like the paper video you made recently.) -- Long answer and reasons -- This was tricky. - For all of the voice tests #3 was easily my favorite. - However, with the cedar balls #3 just sorta lacked something, I think it may have been the lower frequency clicking of the wood. So #1 and #2 did the best there, with #2 doing a little better I think. - With the "scratchy circles" (sorry, don't know what they would be called lol), I think #1 and #2 were pretty much tied, all I know is once again #3 was a little weak here cause it seemed like it left out those lower sounds again and it seemed lose the feeling of rubbing you get from those lower sounds. - With the tapping I think #2 was probably was the best, but I actually think #3 held up fine here. I think the crispness of #3 worked well with tapping even if #3 doesn't get low sounds as well. - Comb test, sort of the same; #1 and #2 and a good range, but #3 just didn't pick up the whole range well. - The wig was same again; #1 and #2 very similar and #3 lacking a little. So the reason I choose #3 (despite my notes) is I think you have a lovely voice and It's what I enjoy most about your videos. Then the reason I choose #2 with #3 if you plan to use multiple still is because I think #2 was basically a better version of #1 and it was better with props than #3. P.S. It was so hard to stay awake enough to take notes!! :)

I loved the second mic for tapping/crinkling sounds, and I preferred the 3rd mic for scratching/hair brushing/or anything with a lil bit of a harsher sound! hope this helps somewhat and I also hope you're doing well! This was the most relaxing test video I've ever seen! :-D My favorite is #1, it has by far the most balanced sound. Second is mic #3, witch has a very clear and crispy sound but misses the warm lower frequencies a bit. My least favorite is #2, because it sounds a bit dull and not nearly as clear as #1 and #3. And the spacial separation seemed not so good to me.

*#2* - Definitely the best one 👍 -- Very warm sound, very good depth perception, but it does have more background noise (hissing). Still my favourite though. *#1* - Still good, but not great 👌 -- Good depth, clear and crisp, buy a little tinny, it would be better with a little more bass/warmth. *#3* - The worst one for me 👎 -- Very little depth perception, very tinny, no bass, no warmth. Really don't like this mic.

It depends on the application. #1 has the most low end (since it's a large diaphragm condenser), accurate high end, and the most sensitivity. It works best for voice, so I would say use this for anything where you'll be talking. #2 has decent low end, less sensitivity, still good highs. Sounded good on the orange bag, wooden balls, anything midrange-y. For high end detail, use #3. Sounded great on the hair and the sequins, although the sequins close up to the #1 mic was awesome too. Just remember, your distance from the mic changes the tone, and changes depending on the mic. #3 will never be very bass heavy unless you are very close, but #2 and especially #1 will get very bass heavy at close range.
