Yesssss I’ve waited so long for a actual car person asmr and the fact that it’s a gti is even better I have a mk4 jetta bigger turbo,tuned ect shoots flames Next goal is either a newer golf R or an Audi like a4/s4 kinda thing

I have 2 mk4 jettas they’re amazing cars, ones black and ones getting painted yellow soon. My main car is a 2009 audi a4 avant in brilliant red though, they’re really fun and cool cars.

Well this is a pleasant surprise. I didn’t know you were a car enthusiast but it’s great to hear that you are and your car is awesome! I just picked up a 2010 Volkswagen CC manual a few days ago and I definitely see why people love Volkswagens now.

Oooh, very nice, my father had a CC and it saved his life in a horrible highway crash. The jaws of life that the firefighters used actually broke when they were trying to get him out of the car, that thing is strong. He came out with only scratches from when they broke the glass. Volkswagen for life!

These cars come with factory launch control as well. Hold the traction button for like 5 seconds and it should turn traction and stability off and then put it in sport mode, hold down the brake and gas all the way down at the same time and it will lock it in at 3000rpm and let off brake after a sec or 2 and you should get a pretty nice launch!

Wheel hop is so bad that you shouldn’t expect a great launch with that. Source: I own a MT MK7 GTI.

Those DSGs ( dual shift gearbox) are still amazing transmissions, i had a 13 passat tdi with one, they can shift extremely fast because of their dual clutches, gears 1,3 and 5 are shifted by the first one and 2,4 and 6 are shifted by the 2nd one.

You're right about the gearbox with dual clutches. But DSG stands for Direktschaltgetriebe 🇩🇪 (direct shift gearbox 🇺🇸) and it's Volkswagen's name for the Doppelkupplungsgetriebe 🇩🇪 (dual clutch gearbox 🇺🇸). There is a clip of Richard Hammond from Top Gear try to pronounce Doppelkupplungsgetriebe. 😅

You're whip is so sick Shaley, at least it's not an autotragic. I bet the DSG still feels pretty sporty. Those Konig wheels are tight too. I like the look of the GTI, it's subtle with the carbon fiber accents. Get out on some backroads with that thing, it must handle like it's on rails.♥🏎

Love the Car! You should totally ditch the racechip and get atleast a stage 1 tune from EQT or IE! Itll feel much smoother of a tune than a piggyback box

just so you know, that button near the sunroof that has a picture of the car door being open basically is a switch to have that light turn on when you open the door and if its off it doesn’t turn on

I know the DCT system is good in these cars but I love the manual so much more. I could have gotten a mk7 golf r but got a gti instead because it was manual. (Wanted to purchase from a specific dealer.)

Awesome, I have a Mk7 GTI in Tornado red too 😊 Sucks that you guys have to have those lights in the US, I'd highly recommend getting the "euro style" LED headlights and taillights, they completely transform the look

12:52 thats not how those weights work. The weights are placed there so the wheel doesnt vibrate while driving, which can be unpleasant and cause damage. You can’t move the weights to other side of the wheel, since that would mess with the balance. If you replace the tires, the old weights get removed and the wheel gets rebalanced with new weights

They’re 18 inches, and they’re aluminum. As far as the color I’d say they’re either brass or copper. Sorry I don’t have an exact answer, these came with the car when I bought it.
