You forgot to check the showers the most important part of any hotel room. And the first hotel you mentioned is a motel not a hotel. The difference between both places is hotels are indoor/fancy and motels our outdoor/low budget.

It's a lower income hotel, of course it's gunna have cheaper appliances in it. "There's nothing in these drawers" Why would there be anything in them?
