With 40 DJ's, artists and acts coming together at one massive party - you know the atmosphere's got to be right! A State of Trance 500 brought the more than 20.000 visitors 5 areas of new talent and renowned artists, all feeling right at home at the celebration of the 500th episode of Armin van Buuren's radioshow.
Next to the Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red areas, the backstage and artists lounges were one big party as well, as all artists felt part of one big family. Both Dancefoundation and Armin interviewed some of the world's most known and promising DJ names of today, from Arty and Signum to Max Graham, Ørjan Nilsen and Above & Beyond. Here's an exclusive behind-the-scenes, backstage and interview report, for you to enjoy or relive the night!

Good luck to the people downloading FL Studio. It takes years of practice and dedication to be as good as Arty. I have been producing for almost 6 years and I'm still not on ASOT yet. But my day will soon get here.

I can't wait to be as tasteful as Arty in my future. I try so hard with my music and am very dedicated. My current goal is to get featured on ASOT 507 or 508 depending on when my next track is released, I also use Fruity Loops. Some people hate on it, but it's actually a very good program. I can only hope the best for the people who use it. Just keep trying your hardest and pouring your heart and soul into your work and it will pay off. I'm hoping it does for me soon. He has a studio in his house, probably in his room or garage. He has two speakers, no hardware, uses fruityloops, makes amazing beats, made it to be a headline DJ on the MAIN FLOOR at Den Bosch...Did he also say he was 21? If that's not true dedication & passion...I don't know what is. MUCH RESPECT to Arty! I shall support you!

I especially don't know why some guys hate on FL. Arnej, another great, uses it on his productions. You just have to know your tools, how to use them and a great creative mind.

fruity loops, Logic(my program of choice), pro tools , etc it depends on personal preference and what you feel comfortable using Arty makes great trance because of his talent not some recording software and that goes for all good artists in general
