I think your workshop was great. Great pacing kept everyone engaged. Although participants may not have known the process of design thinking, they accidentally went through a process of thinking differently to design. I believe it was design thinking 101 and I loooved it. It is a flexible approach to most themes. Thank you

I think this is a very interactive training that offers hands on experience vs. heavy on theory. I'm impressed that she was able to cover what she did in only 1 hour. Kiran and Design for Change has clearly launched a huge successful project, and this was likely just a short intro to what would be a much longer process.

Maybe there is a missing part that wasn't recorded but how can you do a whole workshop about design thinking without explaining the process and the different steps they have to go through. I think there is a lack in insights and commentary from the trainer. I don't know how familiar are the attendees with design thinking but this will probably leave people who never heard about it confused. PS. I started delivering trainings only 3 years ago and got interested in design thinking a few months ago. I am happy my introductory workshop to the conncept was far more interesting and explanatory than this one. Still this wasn't a bad workshop... well it depends on how much its cost was.

yes, the structure of the course just copy from one to another with a bit of modifications..it is funny and really doubt the effectiveness of this type of trainning. I just see it is kind of fashionable event.True designer come with instant talents and sense of feeling. look how many Steve Jobs around. I am not a Apple fans, I use none of the Apple product sometimes, I feeling this trainning is wasted of time and money

+listentoyour oldman I agree with you on the training method but not on Designers. Design is not just talent. It's using the analytical and the creative part of your brain and using it at its best. Being able to understand the process of Design is just as important having a talent but the best talent won't bring you further without understanding what and how they're doing it. Take this as an example: An innovative you woman or man has a talent in design, great ideas, designs look amazing- it could be a part of an exhibition. But ask yourself: is it really desirable? is it useful or just nice to look at? This might be a waste of money but still, making up your mind about the strategy itself is not. I can assure you.

"True designer come with instant talents and sense of feeling." ... I wholeheartedly disagree. Design is a skill you can train, not a gift you are bourn with. What makes some designers more adept than others, is commonly a higher sense of empathy and domain knowledge - both skill you can train. Design is not art, it is a profession. Sessions like this will not make you a designer (in the same way playing sports for an hour does not make you an athlete), they are ment as helpful training excursuses to build a foundation and common language and are usually paired with a theoretical section. In the end, design is about inclusion, empathy and creativity. All things you can train, model and practise. I recommend listening to Tim Brown's (the "founder" of Design Thinking) talk at TED for a different perspective on design: www.ted.com/talks/tim_brown_urges_designers_to_think_big

there are more than 50 participants,, let say us200 per head, usd100k for how many days trainning? roughly 5 staffs including her husband, the guy do the blowing job, ha, with a deduction for the rental free and the stage decorations, act like a magic show, pretty quick she make a profitable money. what a change and innovation, lot of bs

We should be more focused on what we are getting not what other are making out of it.. I am going through design thinking sessions, it is for in around 20 hours.. My point is what you expect in 1 hour here...

200 x 50 = 10,000... jeez u cant even multiply and omigosh your english is horrendous! haha...dont critique how these smart people make money in exchange for knowledge, everyone is deserving of being in exactly where they are right now...see where you are now and u will know what this means...
