The whole thing is based on respect, Respect to the music, respect to the dj’s, respect to the crowd, and respect to one another, We have to remain in constant contact, but look around yourself’s, We’ve got every kind of person in this room, And they’re not kicking fucking attitude, It's about music! Music never seperated people, No one style is better than the other. Not one style is truer than the other, It’s all music!

"Unreleased" isn't an album from Asphyxia, just some tracks put on a peer to peer website... Asphyxia is recording his first album.

@paingamer45 I don't use apple products so I can't do it on Itunes...Also where will be no record on my local(in the hole country) record store...Because I live in the eastern europe area and I am not so rich to buy it in ebay.... Ou yeah because everyone is soo flippin rich,they can buy a song they like to support.No downloading isn't stealing,because it is for personal use...They won't get any money or something other.In fact they will recomend to their friends.

@ArgoSG Well if you went to those underground crowded nightclubs full of people that don't always shower, you'd always be wearing a gas mask too. It's fashionable AND functional!!
@JayjayHAX11 жыл бұрын
Asphyxia can't exactly make a living off of this.
@MaJiCiDE12 жыл бұрын
Can you people please tell me if this was the mainstream if everyone listened to this genre would you still be listening to this or would it lose its value of being underground... I know to many people that only listen to good music because of it's underground value and not because of the music itself
@metakiluku12 жыл бұрын
I live in small city, rock/metal are rare here. So one guy made partys, which he named "Gothic" for the first time, and "Industrial" lately. I love him for making concerts, but i hate him for making "gothic" concerts where I heard 1-2 good ol' 80s' gothrock songs, and that's all. And you don't find many ppl who even know about that style, and nothing like some dance style that everybody know(like Industrial dance). So "Industrial" is pretty mainstream to meh, and still I'm browsing the web now.
@DuskTheViking11 жыл бұрын
I think that's his point.
@tracer364212 жыл бұрын
@rediconAoC Well, if I do something like what you described, like pirate the album and mail 20$ to the artist, i don't consider it piracy anymore. I only count as piracy if i take and never pay.
@RevolutionofDespair12 жыл бұрын
So does anyone know where I can actually get this music...I admit to downloading an album (deal with it). but I've come to really like it and want to support the artist...
@Salengot12 жыл бұрын
@usame12 those are just pop/metal.Seriously, music for teenagers.
@rediconAoC12 жыл бұрын
@tracer3642 I pirate everything. Music is shared much quicker that way. If "underground" music, as you've labeled it, were bought buy everyone it would eventually become a "mainstream" major label and be demonized for it. Real truth is, art is free... once it is created, regardless of who creates it (even if it was me), it belongs to everyone. I gladly donate to artists I like though. That's when I buy the CDs/MP3s.

@8KingFisher14 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if Asphyxia is "better then" other groups. KMFDM is German, and no one will deny they're place on the alter on Industrial-rock, while Eisenfunk produces some awesome techno. Skinny Puppy, arguably the best industrial band of all time hails from Canada. In America, Chaism but produces some of the most beautiful dark-electro, and VAC (love'em or hate'em) have a strong industrial legacy, as does Psyclon Nine. spec. mention for Angel Spit from New Zealand Nationality means nothing.

Art is a reflection of society, and therefore already belongs to society and everyone in it. Goods and services are exchanged in the real world in order to evenly distribute finite resources in an attempt to sustain and progress our civilization. IMO, art is a subjective product of self expression, and as a result a monetary value cannot be placed on it past the materials used to produce it. Sadly that's not what I am paying for when I buy one of an infinite supply of copies for upwards of $20.
@tracer364212 жыл бұрын
@paingamer45 Never pirate underground stuff. Major label, whatever. Unknown and new bands, never.

The argument of piracy ahhhhhh. Allow Me to point to the days of blank tapes, borrowing your friends crap and recording it. How did anyone ever make any money? We've been "pirates" since the cassette broke us away from the 8 track player, pirating records and tapes since the early 80s. Only difference is now the people we "borrow" the lps from are strangers, and there's no physical copy. Art IS indeed free, try and chain it and it is destroyed.

I'll agree that musical tastes are to a degree subjective, there is no objective way to judge an art, the universe is impartial to the vibrations we call sound, and you certainly cant grade it by how popular it is. however i disagree with you saying we have no rights to express our opinions. you don't need top scroll through comments to see the video, you chose to, probably with foreknowledge that we'd be opinionated. fights between subcultures are usually more political then artistic.

Where'd you get this notion that art is free? If you want free art, go watch a sunset. If you want to enjoy art created by someone else, pay for it, especially if it's how they earn a living to pay their bills and eat. Paying someone for good music doesn't suddenly turn it into "mainstream", artists having to sell out because too many people pirate their stuff does.
