Amazing lectures sir Apart from exam point of view as its advanced nowadays composites had come still amalgam exists sir could you plz tell me how amalgam is better than composites I heard somewhere that amalgam has better life than composites? Is it true

The problem is mercury management. Thats why amalgam is being stopped. It may still have better life than composite but its unesthetic. Composite have become better and cheaper. So there are multiple factors in the thought in deciding which one is better

U will have more mercury phase without any alloy in the matrix which will reduce strength and make the amalgamation more prone for corrosion. Have u seen the first video of amalgam on Aspire32 ?

Suppose u take same volume of Powder and mercury then u will take more Mercury. Because volume of alloy and Mercury dont match. Thats why by weight

There is something called corrosion of amalgam. Is it beneficial for the restoration. And which phase of amalgam is more susceptible for corrosion. Sir please could u tell about this

Sir , you have mentioned the other names of eames technique are no squeeze cloth and minimal mercury technique, i have come across mcqs asking about "Total mercury technique" and i have always been confused if it is Eames technique or something else. Please could you tell me about this
