I purchase the exact same lighting, not realizing my 2024 GMC didn’t have a 12V. Now wondering if I should return it for a light with proper power plug or modify it.

You can just aux switch it into your battery but it does take a bit of extra work. You can also add a new 12v to the battery and into cab but that's just as much work. There are USB converters but I don't advise using them.
