Does it ship with 8 USB-C TO USB-A dongles so customers can use all the ports? Or 1 multi, so you end up only using 1 of the 8 ports because 90% of tech ends on a USB-A🤣🤣

No thanks. This seems like a massive headache in the process. You'll have to get a ton of adapters to have on hand. Just to get a basic setup working, you need two USB ports just for the keyboard and mouse.
@rhadiem24 күн бұрын
I love the All-USB-C designs. I think a fair compromise is for 2x USB-A plugs for keyboard/mouse dongles, and the rest being USB-C.
@JosephAraya25 күн бұрын
Full usb-c is bold choice, but i like it. The aqua board is expensive enough that buyers are rich enough to upgrade anything they have that isnt usb-c already. I myself use a docking station which is much more convenient to use with a desktop rather than reaching behind the tower. Plus i already have a type-c keyboard, DAC (audio), microphone, all my game controllers, webcam. Eventually I'll replace mouse and there are always cheap otg adapters for anything that uses usb-a. The more usb-c ports there are, the more accessories we'll get with type-c.
@TriPBOOMER25 күн бұрын
An all USB-C MOBO is an inconvenience I don't want to have to deal with, way too much tech would need upgrading, even now 90% of my tech ends on a USB-A including my mouse and keyboard, for that matter, every wireless Logitech mouse and keyboard would need a dongle for their dongle!, and with using dongles, the question ''what's the point?'' comes to mind.

@@2.5k_ping56everyone is saying USB C is ‘better’ but how? The average person uses USB for only a few things, Keyboard, Mouse, and Flash drives. USB 3.0 Flashdrives are already fast enough for 99% of people and you don’t need fast transfer speeds for keyboards or mice. USB C is an overhyped feature that tech reviewers have spent the last 5 years telling you it’s something you ‘need’ when most people don’t care!

Yes better than that non reversible standard USB. USB C should've been the ultimate connector regardless if it's usb 2 3 3.1 3.2 and 4(thunderbolt). The biggest problem with a USB-C desktop is that there is a complete lack of USB-C devices to work with desktop. I've been looking for a USB hub for years and can not find anything. I want a USB-C port(removable cable) to connect to the tower, and then 6-10 USB 3.0 A ports. I can find several that have USB 3.0 B, but nothing with C. All of that USB-C hubs on the market are made for laptops and have a 6-12" cable wired to the device.

You know? I don't actually hate what asrock is doing with this. Rn as far as connection ports go the indestry is kind of in a comfortable place so no ones really tries to push anything? @zakur097825 күн бұрын
why not have both... mouse and keyboard are USB-A. there are many devices that doesn't require USB-C... this is a dumb move have atleast 4x USB-A and then make the others USB-C if you want and there is a reason people connect mouse/keyboard on the back, usually there are usb ports directly connected to the CPU and in theory they are lower letancy... dongle is the only option? but whatever, its only on one mobo

The universal USB-C is not ideal for some peripherals; for instance, XBOX controllers may not be compatible. I prefer to connect them to the back of my PC to avoid the mess of wires dangling from the front of my case, which can make even a $4500 setup look like trash.

@uss-dh790925 күн бұрын

@@KianFloppa It doesn't matter how far into the future you go, fully enabling every single port to do every function will always be cost-prohibitive, so we'll end up with mechanically identical ports which do different things. That's not a good thing, that's bad. Different ports for different purposes is actually a good thing. The urge to USB-C everything is not only counter-productive, it doesn't even claim to be productive, it's nothing but an aesthetic urge.
