Under the Archaelogy experts the Panbari Masjid is protected by the Indian Government as a historical site. The Masjid is believed to be 400 years old. A lot of sculpture of the ancient times are still visible in the site. The Panbari masjid is one of the most famous Masjid in India and Oldest in Assam.
