Yes, but imagine the excitement to new/younger players... There's an entire generation, that is just now getting into the game, that came up in the Naughties, and have grown up playing this these video games.

@Linguistic1 it's not that that bothers me. I'm fine with crossovers. I actually like this one. I just can't stand how much every set costs and how many sets there are.

@@kommanderkronk oh well yeah, i agree with that. But the game has been cyclical in my life for that very reason. And now that I've finally found my stability, it's only now that I can truly afford to get into it, and build what I've always wanted to build. As such, I've never paid attention to the meta, so it's a completely different game each time I've come back to it. But I do understand the burn out. It's happened to me several times.

Alexios inspired me to finally make my “give away to each opponent” kindred deck. Cards that go to each players control and can attack my opponents. Commander is either Sol'Kanar the Tainted or Karona, False God

That templar knight art is a miss. It would have been so easy to make a cool looking art for that and we got a dude who looks like he's tripping..

"What Must Be Done" works for Planeswalker/Superfriends decks as well, maybe better than for a more standard Enchantment deck as those decks will often run enchantress-style creatures to facilitate their card draw and/or run a lot of enchantment creatures for synergy. My own deck born from the Theros sets runs a lot of recursion to double and triple-up on constellation triggers and has ways to blow up it's own board and then suddenly recur everything back for value, so maybe there. Smoke Bomb looks intriguing, but Become Anonymous is absolutely going into my Mon's Mountain Casino deck... just as soon as I find a way to make it a red card. 😉

Demo, in commander if your commander is facedown you have to tell each player that it is your commander. You can't hide that information because it's public and still does commander damage.

Of all the cards in this Assassin's Creed set, only two new cards caught my eye enough to purchase. I'm hoping Sokrates isn't expensive because I know the other one won't be. I also have my fingers crossed that the reprint of Cover of Darkness will tank the price at least temporarily because I want to put it in a deck, just not for $25-40.

Become Anonymous makes me think of the yugioh card called Magical Hats. And that's not a complaint, ever since I started playing magic I've been hoping for them to make a card like that because it's just so fun. It does seem like it interacts a bit weirdly with commanders though, and I can imagine people getting confused.

Would love to see a eon hub, smoke bomb sun theme in a deck. So many decks win off their commander or a stupid combo. Smoke bomb would ruin so many of these

The set has made me realized how much I loved AC back in the day, got hooked hard during the Brotherhood-Black flag era. Eventho I am pretty much exhausted of new cards, I really like many of the designs here. Have not feel so much on point since LOTR imo

I am happy that i don't buy universes beyond, otherwise it would be far to much stuff, that interests me. I am sad, that there most likely wont be any universes within versions of the interesting and unqiue cards though😅

now there something really funny about "Become anonymous" this could be the first magic the gathering card in history to do this. but this is secretly two universe beyond cards in one. because this is actually worded nearly identically to a Yu-gi-oh card called "Magical hats" this does the same thing as that also wtih they have to guess which one is the monster. but are version is better because its a indefinite effect and they have ward 2 and important note on Smoke bomb it saids sacrifice instead of exile it so this is recurable/regrowable in those artifact deck so you can repeatedly use it in the right decks.

I can't keep up with the magic releases. The pace that wizards releases cards is too fast. By the time I can build around a set of cards, a new set is coming out.

Sadly you can't use Become anonymous to hide which one is your commander. Being a commander is a property of the card itself that has to be public information at all times.

Source? I haven't heard that before so I'm curious to see where it comes from. Also doesn't necessarily make sense considering its not required knowledge in hidden zones like hand or library.

@@eewweeppkk Yes, yes it is required. Actually having your commander in your library leads to a lot of problems. 903.3. Each deck has a legendary creature card designated as its commander. This designation is not a characteristic of the object represented by the card; rather, it is an attribute of the card itself. The card retains this designation even when it changes zones. If your commander gets shuffled, you and everyone should be able to know where in your deck is, but no player can look. Technically you should need a judge to look through your deck everytime you shuffle it and tell the table the position of the card. Nobody does that though.

@eewweeppkk you have to know because of commander damage, if you swing at me with a bunch of face down creatures including your commander, everybody needs to know so commander damage can be tracked

@@912zap Tha rule doesn't necessitate knowing which card it is in hidden zones unless a judge has ruled otherwise. I can't find anything else conclusive about it besides extrapolating the assumption based on "tracking commanderness." It doesn't say anywhere that knowing what a commander is at all times is public information, only that your commander is revealed at the beginning of the match and that its a property of the card itself. It does mention in the only rules I could find for it (the one you cited) that it's still your commander if it's turned upside down, but not that this is public knowledge that everyone knows. Also the only place I found the rules you cited has the old replacement effect rules for commander which was updated four years ago which is a little annoying. The only source I can find is a dude on reddit saying trust me bro and that the RC has ruled on getting shuffled into the library, but I can't find their ruling on it. They claim that it should be known, as you say, but also that it's never tracked and doesn't matter (which, outside of combat damage, also doesn't matter with become anonymous). Not trying to say you're wrong, I'd just like a definitive source on this.

I really like the idea of gold bug as a commander deck with these templars. The juggernaut colorless legendary artifact creature would be awesome. Same with horn of Gondor since they're all already humans.

no. a creature has to be on the battlefield. in the graveyard it is a creature card,
