Because the Hidden Blade isn't 100% deadly in Origins 🙃 you need to level it up

@@HereticASSassin Yeah, but that's mainly for captains and brutes. If you progress along with the game, that usually is a problem you don't encounter. The only time it would be is if you're at a fort that's high level or attacking a similar convoy, neither of which you should have any business doing unless you want to die.

@@1597B I know i played Origins several times and thats a thing Vallhalla and the older games truly nailed specially Unity with all those unique Killing animations.

It's apparently going to be set in a viking setting. Which means they're probaly going to keep Odyssey's combat, but I wish they'll have a larger focus on stealth.

Taco Lover Person why will ir be similar to odyssey? If I recall correctly, Norse (Vikings) combat focused on using shields,axes,maces etc, meaning shield combat might be brought back to suit the time period therefore it could be more like origins.

NaytNL parry, counter, dodge, disarm. I preferred the Arkham style fighting. More focus on hidden blade and assassination animations. Improved AI. But keep the arrows.

@@MegaManC4 Arkham counter based style combat is not compatible with improved AI. Unity and and even the Ezio trilogy and 3 proved it already. It's easy to look badass if you can mash counter in godmode all the time. There has to be a revamped system of counters, make it last minute and close call quarters, not the core base of combat.

@@MegaManC4 Leave the fighting system of Arkham to Arkham and Spiderman, there's realistic logic to it. In Assassins Creed, no way I'm gonna believe soldiers stand there and wait around like idiots to attack an unamored assassin. And thanks to that combat system, there's no point in doing stealth at all BECAUSE YOU CAN SPAM COUNTER ALL THE TIME, apart from optional objectives and 100% synchronization.

Andree Tungcab oh. Arkham’s combat is based on the original Assassins Creed. So there’s that... Maybe it is compatible with improved AI but I hasn’t been solved yet. Jedi Fallen Order was close but not perfect. Ghost of Tsushima looks interesting as well imo. Appreciate your input though.

I just hope they bring back AC Unity level of traversal. The parkour in that game is really satisfying. I still love playing it :]

Acrobatic Improviser Yes I loved it too, but the thing is as a console player it would kinda be a pain in the ass holding down the right trigger to run around in a map bigger than Unity’s.

​@@shogunboy2275 I'm sure that's something they could adjust for console players. It would be great if they could use Unity's traversal mechanics as a foundation and improve it for everyone to enjoy :]

I can kill enemy with headshot in oddysey. Sometimes I hit one kill, sometimes not. But it is great playing origin and oddysey

@Top Dog you have no facts or statistics supporting your statement of the word choice 'majority'. I won't say minority but definitely it isn't majority either. The steam reviews for ACOrigin ACOdyssey are both above 85% and critic reviews are also high. I personally like both old and new AC games they're all cool and fun. It's just a matter of taste

@Top Dog If the majority agreed, these games wouldn't be successful. You can find Origins' sales record online. The game made a great amount of money and was a financial success for Ubisoft. No, it's not the OG AC2 - Black Flag, but these new titles certainly aren't bad.

They should have stuck with that base I never feel like a badass in these games anymore like a stylish trained killer now it's just a guy who stabs people In the same exact place over and over and climbs like a robot no flare or style it's a shame because the world's are awesome but the gameplay feels very very basic

Yep this game had potential but they refused the same animation where you either barge or you grab the neck and stab gets very old quickly I really miss the cool animations made me feel like a badass when I pulled of things like that even ac syndicate had the stylish double assassination and cool takedowns
