people are so whiny these days. This game has some bugs. All games do when they're this crazily big. I've been waiting for Ubi to tackle Vikings in the creed series for over 10 years. I'm over the moon with what they've created.

Honestly dude? Apart from the bugs, glitches and errors I encounter (which are gonna be fixed so I don't worry about it) I FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME. I enjoy it the most from the franchise. They improved a lot of things, deleted the things people didn't like, implemented things people like. Combat feels great, although sometimes my Eivor gets stuck but it's not a big deal. Story is amazing, the ost is fantastic. I play the małe Eivor and all I gotta say, he is such a charismatic and likeable character. He acts natural, he's smart etc. I love the Viking era and norse mythology so I was immediately interested in the game Everyone was bitchy and whiny because vikings? Assassins? Nah bad combo but ubisoft really did a great job doing the game. The side activities feel really engaging, no more "go to this marker and do this" and other boring shit. There's lots of riddle and mystery stuff where you actually need to think for a little or search/read through stuff to solve it. Great job really great job. The ability/skill system is phenomenal, a lot of variety and it's really balance. You can defeat really strong foes if you know how to play and know your equipment. I was around power lvl 120 when i defeated one of the Daughter of Lerion who was power lvl 240 on my second try. No more bullshit from origins and Odyssey. I love it from tip to toe. Can't wait for the dlc they announced. Already played like 53 hours and there's still more to go. I also especially like that they made the game long not by packing it with 5min side quests or a huge map but with different story arcs.

Nah I usually do that too but I get the guys point - I’ve often spent an hour clearing loot chests in area before doing the main quest there, only to find the main quest brought me to all those areas anyway so I could have saved at least 40 mins if I just followed the quest

I'm sitting at 113 hours right meow. All I've been doing is exploring. I have all armor, expect Thor's. And pretty close to every weapon, there are some weapons locked behind main story missions. Which i get that. The main story is already set in stone. Every mission and where it's located, the events that play out. The main story leads you to certain treasure, which is nice. You can't always expect to fully explore and gather everything before beating the game. I've only secured Repton in my story. And started East Angelia. Ran around Asgard for an hour. Other than that, it's all exploring.

Excellent tip!!! It worked out even better than expected for me. I lured the guy to the water, horned in my crew, and went up a tree and just watched till they arrowed him to death. So i basically killed a very high level enemy without pressing a button, while drinking some hot chocolate

Had a few crashes. I had to play the London boss fight twice because of a crash and a failed auto-save.

It's also the best ability for Nidhoggr in the new DLC 👌

You don’t have to hold it down just call him and start running in whatever direction and the horse will catch up to you on your side and then just jump on with E. I suppose it might be different on console though

@@BigblackDavis making gear appear as other gear. So say you put a chest piece on but you do not like the look of this one but you like the look of another one. Then you can transmog the chest piece to look like the other one while the other is still there.

Same I was trying to get the loot in the Governors Villa in Lunden for hours. It was by chance I realized that there was a story arc for it haha.

As I was playing I found this out under my own thought process, glad I wasn’t dreaming. Im bummed that you have to play a certain way but it’s overall a win.

Had that same issue trying to get the Sepulcher Axe in Offchurch just like it shows in the video. Looked it up online and discovered I had to go there during the Tilting the Balance quest during the story for the Ledecestre alliance branch

My boat has gotten stuck so many times i simply never travel by it. I also never call in help for any raid, only pansies do that. I can apparently wipe out an entire garrison by myself, but i can't open doors and big chests.

Agreed, 'Missile Reversal' is an important skill, you can throw back almost every projectile back to the attacker.

@cloudykai the gear in off church in ledeshire or whatever it's called is locked behind storyline. Unless you can use the dual axe for the barred door which I didn't learn about til after.

Level up your wealth to max in a certain area and some enemies will start dropping ingots. Everything from carbon to tungsten. Depending on the area

@cloudykai you guys must not have done as much exploring. You'll come across quite a few areas that have rooms or buildings locked off for a story mission.

@@justRedDevil Yet there are usually ways into those rooms anyways, typically through a window...or by lighting the roof on fire and jumping through a burned out hole.

@@oompaloompadoompa-de-doo3614 actually I was wrong about the swords being a common weapon. Mainly kings, chieftains, jarls, earls and rulers had swords. Axes were usually more for common folk (farmers, villagers, low-life raiders and that kind of stuff)

@@reis3542 that's a good point, but through trial and error I've found if you can't easily find the secret entrance or key in 5 minutes since they are usually marked with Synin, its probably in the main quest

The problem is you can't always tell if you can get the loot at that time or not; most loot will allow you to get to it outside of main story stuff but there are a few that are 'gated' behind the main story. The problem is it's impossible to know when that is the case, meaning you can spend upwards of 15 minutes looking for a key or a way in somewhere with no way of knowing if you're wasting your time with it. Like I found a massive underground roman ruin in East Anglia (think it's a Hidden Ones bureau) and inside was a statue with 'slots for 3 daggers' but couldn't find the daggers anywhere in the immediate area. Still spent a good 10 minutes back-tracking and angling the camera here and there and using Odin's sight every few steps.

It would be cool when in a boss fight like once you damage the boss half way you get a combat cut scene and you need to hit certain button combination during the cut scene like resident evil 4

Yeah makes me think that guy never played the games before origins, you can one hit KO any target if you catch them by surprise or stealth in most AC games. That's my main gripe with oddyssey and origins, I'm glad Valhalla has some callbacks to the old days.

Fun fact, valhalla adds the option for ttue assassination in the options where you skip the stupid QTE and just assassinate them fully all the time.

Much harder to sneak around killing ppl in forts than AC Odyssey but like having my crew on a full-raid.

Plus I'm one of those weirdos who still remembers the game has "Assassin" in the title. Wish they'd hire some similarly minded weirdos for the dev team tbh...

Same happened to me. Got 30hrs on CP2077, started to play some AC:V instead and now I have 100hrs in AC and will probably have to start CP2077 from the start because I can't remember how to play it properly and have forgotten most of what I've already done. Maybe the game will work properly by the time I get back to playing it 🤷‍♂️
