Nick Salehi I sort of agree with you. I feel like they sacrificed a lot of what made AC the series it is for uninspired gameplay that tries to mimic The Witcher. The parkour and free running in both games was basically non existent, the levelling system was awful (You couldn’t even stealth kill enemies your level) and almost all enemies were meatshields. An old man in a cloth robe was able to survive being kicked off of a 3 story building, multiple arrows and dozens of sword strikes. Frankly, I enjoyed Odyssey’s story and it’s world but not the gameplay. The customization was good but the game felt very bland and uninspired

Do you know what would be beautiful conclusion to the Assassin's Creed franchise? To play through Rome. All eras.. And finally, to play as Ezio's father. His death would be synchronization. Circle is complete.

@TheBritishBulldog Syndicate was in London, England Rogue started in Ireland went to colonial America then Canada and ended in France Black Flag was the Caribbean and areas near Cuba and the Virgin isle Another took place in China One in Russia Both of those were DLC games on the Vita or tablets 2 and brotherhood took place in Italy Revelations too place in Israel and Italy and the middle east Ac1 was all the middle east Unity was in France Origins was Egypt Odsessy was Greece So they all don't place in just America. However ending the series would make sense since Abstergo was started in the USA More research on the AC series and you'd learnt this. Now it would make sense consideeing Watch Dogs is an Assassin's Creed tie in

Since the Ezio's Family melody has become a recognisable staple of AC music I'm always interested to hear how it's adapted to new setting. This is brilliant. I would be more than happy to accept it as the official theme. Hey Ubi, don't bother making a soundtrack, Daniel James has you covered guys

Ezio's family should not be reused that much in my opinion, that's part of ezio's history and has nothing to do with other ac stories. it's like reusing Piramid head from the SH franchise for other entries, that is an antagonist for James Sunderland only and he had no place in other SH games.

I'm ok with fan made songs and some other cameo in ac games, but ezio's family is getting too overused in the official ac games. when you hear a piece of that track in Odyssey you just remember the best character in the franchise, Ezio, along with the best ac games when you are suppose to be engaged in the actual new story. that's just cheap fan service along with many other decisions that makes the new games less immersive.

I already thought of a story: 1. Hero's a village boy from Tuscany, son of a late Centurion of the Imperial Legions. He joins the Legion, and rises to the rank of a Centurion himself in the Legendary Ninth Legion. 2. In the mysterious march past the Hadrian's Wall, the Legion is ambushed in the forests north by a coalition of the native tribes of Britain. Much of the legion is wiped out, and the rest taken for slaves to be sold. 3. The Centurion himself is bought by a sympathetic Gaulish druid, who treats his wounds and promises to let him go free once he recovers. In the course of his recovery, the ex Centurion sees the true horrors inflicted by the tyrannical actions of the invading Legions of Rome. He renounces his former ways and becomes a part of the druid's tribe 4. After a long hunt, one autumn he arrives back to see his village raided and burning. His mentor, the druid, is among the men who were killed and crucified, while the burned homes contain remains of women and children. 5. Driven by grief and madness, the ExCenturion buries all the bodies in each separate cairn, not eating for a whole week. 6. He then sets out to seek revenge, but as he finds the enemy camp, he is ambushed and knocked out cold. He awakens after days in Rome, in the home of a man who appears wearing a white hood. 7. The hooded host identifies himself as a mythical Hidden One - an urban legend in then Imperial Rome. He proceeds to explain how Rome has long since lost her way in the clutches of a shadow council, consisting of thirteen old, elite families. 8. To free Rome and the Empire from their evil clutches, an offer is made to the former Centurion, and accepted. A new Assassin is born... eager and ready to bring justice to the victims, and their villains....

like one in the days of the republic, then one during the Pax Romana, and then one either at the fall of the western empire or at the fall of the byzantine empire. The later one with the assassin being a byzantine that is very divided on the inside with one half being a love of his/her country (Byzantium) and the other half knowing the fact (Already established in AC Rev) that the byzantine emperor is (Likely) a templar? Going through the motions of should he/she try and save the nation he/she loves? or aid in its downfall to strike a heavy blow against the templar order? TBH i think it would need to be at least 4 games, with at least two having the same main character but i have a great love of rome so i doubt that i could ever be satisfied by the game ubisoft gives us, even if it was ACII quality story telling....

@@bigfungus5023you are right on a lot, but don't assume I am fooled by an Empire. That being said, Rome's history is THE most interesting I have ever seen per ruler. In almost every single decade there is something you can cover, and the Punic Wars outshine anything Greece and Egypt had seen in ancient times. Too much potential, but I didn't mean to offend anyone. Sorry for my comment.

@@jimmy22334 AC is Ubisoft’s biggest and most successful and popular game series. That, along with Far Cry, will be around for a long time. Watch dogs could also be a strong series if they handle it well, cause WD legion was very mid. 1 and 2 have really big fanbases though and are really fun. Ubisoft is clearly trying to start a new popular series, they are experimenting with a lot of games that likely won’t ever get sequels.

Beautiful. I really think that the Ezio's Family theme should be the main theme of Assassin's Creed. That tune is definitely well-suited for adaptation into different cultures and time periods. I also really love how you incorporated both the AC Origins and AC Revelations themes into this song.

Towards the end I started chanting "senatus populusque romanus" in time with the music, it fit perfectly. For those who don't know, Senatus Populusque Romanus(abbreviated as SPQR) was basically the catchphrase of the Roman civilization, meaning "the senate and the people of Rome" in Latin. I think a trailer with this music and a background chanting those words in time with the music would be CHILLING in a brilliant way.

They could do Witcher style pocket open worlds for different parts of the Empire. Like part for the Parthian Front, Hisapnia, Gaul, Brittannia, Pompeii, Romania, Tunisia, and of course...Rome.

@Soroush Toraby That would be cool. Though I feel like the regions would feel pretty samey because they all built their cities very similarly. Same in unfortunately true of the Aztecs. Though a game about the Conquest of the New World through the eyes of a native would be really powerful stuff.

Byzantium was considered to still be Rome by it's citizens. since Revelations takes place in Constantinople, Byzantium's last city, it fits so well in here. as i have said before, its a full circle

This piece is purely perfect. Just go to a dark room with your headphones on and you able to feel every emotion as the music progress to climax, from losing to pain to revenge to serenity and may shed a drop of water from your eyes when it ends.... Loved it man, truly👍👌

Alex Janoher You do know that Caesar was also a title given to a large number of Roman emperors, right? This was the oath of Roman centurions/legions, along with the creed of the Assassin brotherhood. If they do create an Assassins' Creed set in Rome after the death of Julius Caesar, my guess is the main character would be a Roman soldier who fought valiantly in battle, questioned orders from superiors controlled by the Order, betrayed and left for dead, and then was found and taken in by the Assassin Brotherhood.

This is only half true: Istanbul was built on top of the remains of Constantinople, which was the former capital of the Eastern Roman Empire later renamed to the Byzantine Empire as Constantinople itself was built from the remains of the ancient Greek city of Byzantium. Despite their name, though, the Eastern Roman Empire were very much cut off from the Western Roman Empire.

Last year I listened to this track so many time that I can't count. But then I lost it, forgot all the title except AC in it, and only amazing experience left. In my mind, this would actually be the picture of the main menu. The SPQR thing at the bottom definitely fits considering the Assassins were all about protecting the people from tyranny and injustice, the purest form of democracy. The colors also line up, as red and gold also decorated the Roman soldiers in Origins as well as their tents and campsites. The question is when it would be set. For some reason, setting it during the fall of the Roman Empire would work wonders in my opinion, or maybe between 70 and 80 CE, the time when Mt. Vesuvius first erupted. Just imagine the eruption happening not because it was getting ready to erupt for years like we're taught, but because of a First Civilization artifact that was keeping the energy locked up for millennia.
