Hmm,I dont know...I kind of prefer the open world. Even if the combat was less fluid in regards to the assassination moves (Origins was pretty fluid though,not as much as Unity ofcourse )

I actually enjoyed aspects of Origins and Odyssey (I love open world games and RPGs) but they're missing the heart and soul of why I loved AC games, especially Odyssey.

cmdr lostjayhawk exactly, they are missing the original feel for ac games and I still like them, but not as much as say unity or black flag etc.

Is not underrated at all, gameplay is awesome and now is fluid, but the story (which is one of AC strong points) lacks compared to the others, this game has no emotion and neither do Odyssey, Origins do have emotion and Syndicate at least tried

Yeah, the core gameplay is awesome, but the story is really really weak. Couldn't bring myself to finishing it twice

Konrad von Schnitzeldorf Origins with the same combat system and story but with the parkour and stealth fluidity of Unity would have been the best game in the series.

It’s underrated because of the absolute state it was in during launch I remember returning to it atleast a year after launch and every time I would finish this one mission and left it it would be like I made no progress and would have to do the same mission again like I in Groundhog Day or some shit

@@h.a.f.s5106 no hate for Syndicate but In my opinion the story is pretty boring for an AC. And the brother, sister mechanic was interesting but I didn't like the Charakters at all. But London is gorgeous and the parkour is also really good. Overall a solid AC for me personally.

@@h.a.f.s5106 plus the level system for enemies and weapons/gear was surprisingly good. Except it was a bad indicator for the next AC to be way more loot and level heavy.

imagine if ubi release new ac games like this after odyssey people will say oddyssey was far better..... people now a days..

I think origins is a fantastic game, but not odyssey, that game was awful.

Origins is a great game actually. It's got a great storyline that's actually about assassins and the gameplay is unique. Unity does do better in terms of parkour and stealth kills but I don't think origins' main focus is that. Overall they're both good and odyssey is plain awful.

Well, Ninjas depicted in the mainstream entertainment it is. But in truth they're kind of like CIA undercover ops. Even if there are those with the parkour and stealth-killing skills, they won't have UI radars and pockets that can carry 8 bombs for 3 types each.

Imagine having a Platoon or a whole company of 100 foot soldiers with these spectacular ninja skills and parkour. . . they are gone before you even noticed what happened

@@1toosaucay yeah some jumps are exaggerated for sake of convenience, but you can't deny that it's the most elegant and efficient parkour of the all AC games. Altair's and Ezio's are the most realistic though

Nah. The story isn’t good anyways, Arno was a bland character(but not as bland as Connor) but yeah it would be one of THE best ac games

I think the main characters should’ve spoken with a French accent. I understand that the animus has the ability to translate what is happening into another language, but why give them an English accent?

@@carlosmetz2300 precisely. It was pretty jarring at first but I eventually got used to it. Funny how Ubisoft is a French company, but they hired VA's with English accents though.

Heh hearing Napoleon and the likes speaking with a posh accent wasn't too bad, what was really jarring is hearing the guards and enemies speaking with a cockney accent, but the worst thing is even if a lot of the VA are bilingual in french (with some having french as their native language) they didn't come back to do the french voice over for some reasons

The most underrated is for sure Ac Rogue.

@Rick Alexander first off this comment I lost braincells second off can’t stand when people just bring up glitches and try to explain how that makes the whole game bad I would understand if the glitches were entirely game breaking but none of the ones in unity that I’ve seen are that bad there are thousands of games that are really good and have glitches but no one comments on those if we played on glitches alone I could say skyrim is bad because of the glitches that can happen in that game but everyone looks past those because it’s a good game well if you look past the glitches of unity it’s also a pretty good game the story isn’t the best but could be worst personally speaking Arno is one of the few characters I think could use a sequel but that’s just what I think

Graphics and animation are way better now than before. You probably mean the gameplay and the mechanics itself.

@@dybiosol Animations are just not as fluid as this. See the little personable traits in Arno's jumping and kill animations, there's just no uniqueness to movements in Odyssey at least. It's a major drop off.

Gabe Wescott you can play something similar in Freedom cry where you free slaves it's not civil war or anything being a DLC spin off of Black flag but that's about the only one I know of that might offer something of what you are looking for
