I really appreciate your sound quality. Too many people don't have good audio in their videos, and I think it is possibly the most important aspect of video creation. Also good info for mini beginners. Something that many people seem to misunderstand with Tamiya's Extra Thin is it is not a glue. It has no adhesive properties. That's why it doesn't work on anything other than HIPS plastic. It is a chemical weld. If the mini is HIPS plastic, use Tamiya's Extra Thin. Otherwise use super glue, or cyanoacrylate (CA) glue. CA glue comes in different thicknesses. There is a gel which is good for gap filling, regular viscosity which is good for general part contact, and thin CA which is good when you are mating flat surfaces together.

That Tamiya Extra Thin works with capillary action so you should be able to hold the part (ie. the medals) in place and then just touch the brush to the join, which will cause the cement to flow around the part. Saves on donations to the swear jar.

I also have experience with slipping and cutting myself with blades, and your advice on sharpness is absolutely true. Even if you cut yourself with a sharp blade, there is less force behind it, and the wound is cleaner. I do a lot of hand tool woodcarving, and my fingers are all still present and accounted for. 👍

Haha good to hear that you have all your digits still! I use to do some woodworking myself and damn did i need some very sharp chisels. Now though, I cook all the time and even that I recognize the importance of a sharp blade. It was one of the key facts that i wanted to get across in this video, so one doesn’t have to find out the hard way.

Tip for applying things like the medals: toothpick and poster tack 😉👍 (snap the toothpick to give you a rough end to work with rather than just the point) I've used tweezers to do it in the past and found the part is just one 'ping' away from disappearing into the void 🤣

I have my Drukhari Incubi sub-assembled, going to finish the final spots of glue and cleanup tomorrow while I listen through then, then try to work through each of the steps for priming and painting them while I listen to the relevant video in this series. I'll link you some pics when I'm done. Then post something grumpy blaming you if they're not Crystal Brush worthy on my first attempt at miniature painting. 😂

Keep it up man. Found you on shorts a few weeks ago and subbed. I think you were at like 2.9K then. The quality is on par with all the other channels who’ve been in business for years. @@WrathofMinis well I want to say Tau painting videos but that’s a bit specific for me 😂 I would say a cheap and easy terrain video would be great. A comprehensive basing video. And/or picking some of the most popular models currently (karsakin, Rogal Dorn, Angron, wordbearer units, etc… those are guesses, gathering data would probably be a good idea) and doing either the classic paint scheme or doing your take on them in a way that others can emulate. Those are my thoughts! Coming up with KZfaq video ideas is hard 😅

There is absolutely no reason to wash new plastic unless you dragged it through mud or poured olive oil all over it. Resin, however, must be washed to remove the mold release agent that can prohibit paint from bonding to the model's surface. Washing your brand new plastic model is a complete waste of time.
