Sorry to see you fall when the socket slipped while torquing the rod bolts, Proper footing is a key element when using a torque wrench as you found out. We've all stumbled at some point in our lives but at least you're OK.

What cam are you using kayla. Im building 416 myself

Sweet engine prefer this 416 to the new GM 5.5 LT6 engine 750 crankshaft horsepower should give you 620-640 rear wheel horsepower I'm not a big fan of manual transmissions but l can imagine how good this engine would be connected to a very built 6L80e automatic transmission with a 4200-4800rpm Circle D lockup stall torque converter even with the stock 3.27 gears low 10s possibly high 9s should be a piece of cake and could be driven anywhere naturally aspirated I'd imagine this engine will be a monster from 4000rpm- 7200rpm while being street friendly from idle-3000rpm only wish l had this engine in my 2011 Camaro SS but I'm thankful for the GM performance LS3 495 horsepower crate engine in it wish l had the cash to do what you did at GPI to me it's the absolutely best setup available for all around street and strip performance enjoy it good luck with it I'm sure GPI building a engine like this with all the upgrades would be approaching or close to the 20,000 dollar mark with parts and labor this engine with 11.7 to 11.8 to 1 compression ratio running on E85 would be absolutely perfect

What cost build that engine and can get one that’s built already and ready to install already

Oh yea that was a lot of editing, reminded me of the time i helped a friend put her engine together. Everytime i said lube it, blow it or any of the standard terms she would laugh and of course it turned into sexual terms for her to remember lol. Was fun though

Who the hell was saying it's common for a N/A LS to make 700whp that's like 800+ at the crank? Sure with a big cam, hi compression, race gas, and alot of head work it can make 800hp N/A but that's a full on race engine. I bet you're combo will make around 560whp. I built my 2010 Camaro myself. built the engine into a 417ci with a F1A-94 on 10PSI boost and it made 720whp. i need to upgrade fuel pumps AGAIN then I will give it more boost.

Normally aspirated. An engine is not an organism. A bodybuilder who does not take PEDs is a natural body builder. A normally aspirated engine is an engine that is equipped like millions of the run of the mill engines, with no forced induction. Your engine is a normally aspirated engine. Just saying. There is nothing natural about a man made engine.
