Thanks for your question. My best advice is for you to visit your local Costco (only place to buy a Northrock) and check it out for yourself. If after seeing it, you still think you can (or want to) build one of equal quality at the same or better price, all the power to you. Let us know how you do.

@mjeatsies Great questions. The answer to both your questions is - Yes. This sound is normal because the disc brake pad has not gone through a typical break-in period yet. It should, under most circumstances, go away after a few rides depending on your riding style. Check out our video "Disc Brakes - Basic Adjustment - by Northrock Bikes". Also, make sure you reinstalled the rear wheel properly.

when i attached the front wheel to the caliper... when i spin the wheel it makes a screeching sound because the caliper slightly touches the disc.... is this normal? should it go away over time?

how much this bike costs? i have plan building bike but maybe buying the parts gradually cause of tight budget, thanks

How to unscrew the nut holding the cranks axle? I already removed the cranks themselves, but what tool is required for the above mentioned nut? This exact bike as in the video.
