Hi, I'm wondering about that small, portable tower for holding your tools. Did you make that, or is it available for purchase? It looks really convenient. Any info appreciated.

Oh nice that you noticed it. It is my own design. I made it from an old bed and a record stand. If you live in sweden I can weld you one if you would like.

Interesting,have you done a video and have you got a video of the rake you made? thanks part of my land is bog and wanted to drain it. Back in the 1900 hundred all the clay was taken away for pot making so there's no clay base. About 40years ago a man tried to drain it with a JCB,it sank up to the mudguards!!!!!he never came back!!!

Sounds scary! I guess you would have to make some temporary plattform or road for the wheels and legs so it doesn´t sink like the JCB. Luckily it only weighs 500kg. I haven´t filmed the rake yet I´ll inclued it in the next video.

Hello Roy! After a while you get the hang of the controls. There is not so much gentleness to the diggin but you can slow down the movement with som practice. One very good thing it does is when you dig in slopes. It is very hard to rollover with it so I have done work in steep slopes. I can recommend to tighten the hoseclamps. One of my hoses slipped of and 10 liters of oil leaked out in an instant when I was digging. I also had to tackweld a few pins at the bottom of the controlhandles. They got loose even after locktite so I welded them with a few tackwelds. It still holds. I have made a two rippers, one rake and a planer bucket to mine and it works fine. The cable bucket is the one I use most. Also be sure to hang your hydraulic hoses up so that you don´t sqeeze them between the boom and som stump or stone when you dig. I have transported it on the road. In Sweden you can transport these after your car at a max speed of 30 km/h and you have to put on a temporary slow driving sign.

Now that you've had the machine for some time I'm wondering if you're happy with it and if you'd recommend it to others? Thanks in advance
@recreated78145 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Yes I would recommend it to others. It is a simple machine and it is very useful. Combined with a minidumper or eqvivalent you compensate for not having the mobility as with an ordinary excavator. I like the simplicity of the machine.

Thanks for replying.it looks like you have to bend forward quite a bit,so is it v uncomfortable to use? also is it good for scraping and leveling a yard?we have kune kune pigs and they make mess on the yard, thanks

I dont think its uncomfortable now. Maybe in the begining as in this video. You get use to it. Yes I level first with the backhoe backing and using a rake or a planer bucket. Then I use my tiller with my snowblade slightly v shaped and inverted running backwards. It works for me.

Easy enough to to unthread and bend back towards you if it is more comfortable.

Do you need to fill hydraulics on it? and what type did you use?
@recreated78146 жыл бұрын
Yes you do. I used the 46 grade okq8 hydrualic oil that came with the excavator and it came in a 20 liter plastic can. You need 15 liters of it. There was also 1 liter 15w 40w engine oil with it.

You got a Kellfri! Be sure to post any modifications you do to it! What I did was replace the seat (witch is awful originally) and rearranged the sticks, they are too far forward. I know Metsa Man just kinked the plate that the sticks attach to, myself I used some nuts under one of the fastenings to tilt it up. Bending the sticks DOES NOT WORK. Both me and Metsa Man tried that and failed. Nice video!

Yes I am about to edit a video of me welding a planer bucket! I noticed that I have to lean forward alot! Thanks for the heads up about not bending the sticks!

Yes that was a nice warning and thanks for your videos. I checked them out before I bought it. That was very helpful!
