Guys I figured it out... none of the options on the internet helped. Its OneDrive - most of us probably have this disabled. Because its a CPU hog, open up task manager - go to startup apps - re enable OneDrive - then open OneDrive - go to documents - DELETE Assetto Corsa in OneDrive - then re disable it, and re install Assetto Corsa. It is trying to open through OneDrive and that is WHY the path is screwed up and will not open. I really hope this helps whoever was stilling having issues.

I have the same problem as you and i tried to do the same fix as you showed us in the video, and im on win10, but unfortunately this didnt help... I still get that access to the path's denied :(((

If you are still having this error, try deleting the assetocorsa folder in Documents, then starting Asseto Corsa the normal way (through steam) starting a practice session. The assetocorsa folder will be restored and this error should be fixed. Edit: i was having problems with Content Manager mod (path to cfg folder error), it also fixed my "checksum failed" error when joining an online session also try restarting your pc and checking integrity of the game through steam

Tried that, didn't work for me, my fix was to hide the Assetto Corsa folder in Documents (including subfolders) and then unhide it again, I don't know why this worked but it did.

Didn't work ive done all the stuff, It said "the process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.." I opened Task manager and Ended all Assetto Corsa things and it still brings up what it said at first "an unforseen event has retired from assetto corsa" or something like that. Im using WINDOWS 10

@@arihantarya1275 you sign in with a user profile once Windows is loaded. Like you can have different people use the computer and have there documents safe and private. In windows settings after you have signed in goto Settings and search add user. This will give you the option to add a user. Once made sign in with the new user. Once signed in it looks like a new install of windows. From that user install accetto and play. Although I might add I think they have fixed the issue of now being able to load up accetto in the original user account. Good luck

My Fix was that I turned off, (Manage controlled folder access) in windows security. (running windows 10) worked straight away. left on virus scanner though. M C F A. may turn back on after restart. shall I try? ok. BRB.

i am about to LOSE MY SHIT with this stupid fucking game dude. lol i have tried every fix and forum i can find on this old ass game and it doesn't work! AHHHH! i bought it two weeks ago and cant get it to start a race at all just the main menu.
