Man its a good thing Rowboat actually won that fight and not get stabbed in the neck forcing him to go into stasis for 10k years that would be horrible

This was so sad in the books. Guilliman was overwhelmed by his brother, when he called the instant he did his sons burst into the theater firing laying down fire on Fulgrim. At the same time Fulgrim’s sons burst into the theater. It was an absolute blood bath after Guilliman was mortally wounded. The Ultramarines were literally hurling their bodies at Fulgrim to buy time for them to extract Guilliman. All of his sons were in tears panicking at the site of their father drawing his last breathes. Guillimans last sight before being put in stasis were his sons trying to save him.

Aeonid Thiel is one of my all time favourite Space Marines. One who is actually a forward thinking and adaptable soldier. Best of the Ultramarines.

Aeonid was the poster boy of what an ultramarine is supposed to be,even tho he was an Astartes,he was still not driven by the biology of a war machine,he used logic and practicality to look at the scenario with a level head and didn't allow himself to be lost to rage.

And once again Thiel gets to be the guy who says "I told you so"

Its also tragic that his last thoughts before being put into stasis where directed towards his brother. "Father, who will guide them now? Father, save me"

Guilliman Didn't let his pride coarse through his mind that's why he deserves reward: *Hot Aeldari*

The saddest part for me is , that when he wakes up he is asking about him and trying to figure out what happened to Thiel and his warriors after Fulgrim poisoned him. It such a heart wrenching scene when he says that he cannot find any records of what transpired after he was put in stasis

I always liked the fact that Thiel was the one who got in trouble for daring to point out that their next potential enemies would be their fellow astartes in future.

Thiel pretty much told him that Slutgrim doesn't fight fair.

It’s worth noting that Aeonid was very likely the immediate successor to the Ultramarines leadership after Fulgrim pit Gulliman in stasis, considering that he was the 2nd Company Captain and the 1st Captain got killed in the same battle.

Guilliman: _"If Fulgrim were to fight me fully empowered by the forces of Chaos he might cause me a little trouble..."_ Thiel: _"But would you lose?"_ Guilliman: *"Nah, I'd win."*

Thiel is pretty cool and it's adorable that Guilliman cares alot about him.

Great video as always! If you are looking for recommendations for another great scene to discuss, the one right after this one is also great. Just before they fight Fulgrim and Guilliman have one last conversation, that Fulgrim ends with a sincere and heartfelt aknowledgement of his brothers qualities - no tricks, no insults, no mockery. "You may have been boring, but you were one of the best among us."

Authors really love Roboute. One time vegetable, second time really dead, and they still keep bringing him back.

Fulgrim has a decent amount of primarchs he has beaten. 2 is a solid number This also randomly reminded me that angron loses every primarch duel he got into except for the one vs leman. But im also pretty certian leman lost so his sons could come to his aid and show angron a lesson about leadership so idk if that counts. Thats pretty sad since he was considered the only potential match for sanguinius iirc.

The fucked up part was that by that point Fulgrim was already a Demon Primarch and thus for all intents and purposes Immortal...Even if Guilliman had won it would have been a meaningless victory as Fulgrim would just be thrown back into the Warp and not really die. its sad that Guilliman risked his life with no real potential benefit in it...

You'd have thought by this point, Guilliman would have learned that Thiel has a lot of common sense and he should probably listen to what he says.

I believe the brother doomed by pride was ferrus manus, not fulgrim. Had ferrus not been so eager to engage fulgrim in single combat there is a chance, though very small, he could have survived the ensuing massacre (even if he was winning his fight vs fulgrim before his death). Perhaps had they all been more prudent and all gone to terra then a more organized strike could have been arranged. Also it is ironic that both statistically, and in practice on the table, deamon fulgrim is worse than primarch fulgrim on the table.

Gulliman may not be the Hero the WH40k Empire deserved, but he is the one they needed.

One of the things that I love so much about the Warhammer 40k franchise, the more I learn about it, is that unlike franchises like Pokemon or Digimon, who are great by themselves, Warhammer 40k makes almost every named character, even the most minor, feel like a character, and not just another entity. There are plenty of pokemons and digimons, but many of them are ones that you see in the backgrounds of the main stories of the franchises, as far as I know. Not in Warhammer 40K. Here, every named character feels like an actual character. Kudos to the writers, I just hope that this epic franchise won't fall prey to something worse than chaos corruption- woke subculture infection.

Meanwhile Rogal Dorn put the smackdown on Fulgrim and sent him running. But Dorn had his moments of madness and letting pride get the better of him. Hopefully the Scouring covers the iron cage and other big events.

I have yet to understand why the Umarines are so hated, I know about the Matt Ward stuff, but I feel it isn't enough to justify the hate. Besides the main Ultramarines Trio (Calgar, I Cato Sicarius and Ventriss) which I have yet to read their stories, everything else regarding the Marines is awesome! Why do people hate them so much?

It's not a fun time to fight Fulgrim Epitome of Excess. Having lethal damage of 13 and if you get Khornes Favour down to zero with Grand Finale+Tactical Excellence he can do a whopping 28 damage. To a Primarch with 40 hp assuming you're half that as the game went on you're dead.
