dunno man, speed is great, same with size like doing everything faster? can you imagine a group of trained longbowmen with that? a group of zweihander mercenaries? also the growth potion seems to also enchance strength and durability (with less speed), like one man can (and here did) take on armies

@Jose Miguel Quesada Fonseca I don't think it's a good idea to have too much of any potion. I don't know if it's canon, but I heard a side affect of drinking an entire cauldron's worth if Getafix's (Panoramix's) potion is turning to stone.

@@ShadowDurza Actually, it's to drink of the magic potion while already under it's effects. It's the main reason why Panoramix(Gidefix in english, I think? Stupid name) always denies Obelix some potion, since he's already permanently under the effects of the potion. Obelix drinking it and turning to stone was the main plot of one of the original comics.

0:20 in that shot, for just a moment... His eyes show that Demonix was telling the truth. He really did still see Getafix as his old friend, and gave him one last chance; it was Demonix's failure to accept Getafix's refusal that sealed his fate.

I’ll never not love the “GET ‘EM!!!” moment. It’s why I love this series. The Gauls are all a bunch of argumentative and provincial goofs. Very much a community of big fish in a small pond. A lot of wily gossips and complainers. But they all have big hearts and an underlying love of their community. And Jupiter help you if you cross them.

I cant believe the best things about this movie are the new additions specifically demonix/sulfurix and Pectin. They’re both wonderfully memorable characters who I HOPE become cannon and we see more of in future installments. I really enjoy Pectin she’s the little kid character Done Right! She’s always relevant, charming not annoying, serious yet fun smart but still childish. She’s just the perfect blend of this character we’ve seen done to death but with every aspect going above and beyond.

Gotta love it when a seemingly "useless" magic thing that was explored earlier in the story suddenly becomes the key to victory in the final engagement, without changing it at all even. THAT is one creative way to use levitation dust in conjunction with a strength potion.

There would be side effects I think. If you see how Demonix powers from the modified Magic Potion evolved with his growth, his body is literally burning to a point he would end up crumbling under the extreme heat. Even if he had won or fled the battle, I think it was only a matter of time until his destiny was sealed.

Which means... Getafix invented the potion by accident the first time - or it wasn't as potent as the current version. After that, the recipe that follows is just amplifying the effect of the previous potion (that one drop)... and on and on the cycle went. Which means his potion will just get stronger and stronger... that's a scary thought.

Tough, tbh, they also changed Panoramix to Getafix, so sense its not their strong point. The germans at least changed it to Miraculix, that, at least majes sense sinse they changing it anyways

I think getafix/panoramix would be glad to have pectin becoming a druid. She's way more qualified compared to the 99% of the druid they tested during the movie

@@Shuyin781 yup.. there is only the issue of the cultural bias of "no women allowed" when it comes to druids to overcome. but Pectin is indeed Getafix's best possible choice regardless.

@@Shuyin781 no she wasn't. But Paronamix was never a fan of rigid traditional druid rules. He prefers arts over functionality (but he left that side of him after he got lashed by other druids), that was why he mistakenly chose Teleferix (who himself was actually very conservative). Pectin on the other hand, was actually the exact opposite of Panoramix. If Panoramix was an artist, then Pectin's a (mad) scientist with all her practical (albeit impractical) inventions. Though both has the creativity and willpower to push beyond tradition. That was at the end he let Pectin to remember the secret ingredients of the (ironically traditional) magic potion, he believed Pectin would never misused it because the potion was never her strongest passion. At least that was the idea of that movie.

It's such a good movie in hindsight. Demonix feels relatable, but a the end of the movie his vilainous side completely takes over. The worst part about this? he could have just walked away the moment he witnessed the creation of the fiery potion. The secret ingredient is important, but the most important part was the "matrice", the ability to apply the powder effect to an entire body. Demonix was so blinded by hatred he didn't realise it was the "useless" powder all along, or atleast a variant of it, that was the secret ingredient.

Turn to stone, apparently. Supposedly it's because he's had so much Magic Potion that he's permanently infused with it, and drinking too much turns the drinker to stone.

Obélix (Yes, I am French), fell inside the magic potion as a child, Panoramix (Getafix) keeps saying that the potion's effects are permanents for him, basically he's constantly hyper-buffed, so if he drank potion again, it wouldn't do anything... if he drank A BIT (Asterix and Cleopatra). If he drinks a lot, as said by the first answer, he turns to stone.
