Fyi, kscerato replied to a tweet that the drop from the top was not intentional. He played a lot of 1.6 cs, and you could fall to that spot and take no damage, so he did out of reflex. Got really luck hahaha

That setup that furia ran in the last round was a counter for pretty much the lower split and the top split at the same time, even tho it was a gamble it was definitely calculated and a great call

I completely agree with the breakdown, but not sure the title reflects that. A lot of the decisions FURIA made allowed them to outplay Astralis. They countered better as CTs, they read the defense better as Ts, and they ended up taking the victory because of this. Not quite sure how that would make Astralis the better team in this scenario. But again, great analysis of rounds. Keep on making these quality vids!

Watching the games live you could see the Astralis players get openly frustrated, smacking the table or monitor and such. This, in my mind, is caused by their lack of playing in tournaments a lot. I feel that if Astralis played in tournaments more, they would better be able to control their emotions and that would help them keep clear minds in hard situations.

im happy astralis finally is losing multiple games and some other teams are getting their way up. I hope astralis recovers soon enough and that there wont a dominant team for a while, but multiple once, would love that. great vid as always

I think you are sort of right. I though think, that other teams are bringing this aggressive playstyle to the game. That’s when Astralis are stressing out kinda. They also try to deny info, by for example just walking through mid on dust2 as we saw faze do at the first time of weakness. The thing that i am confused about is that i think magisk said something like this in an interview: “We just had a bad day, and now we are reset.” They did not win after that. I think they should look into how other teams are denying info, and counter it. Then I think they can become no. #1 again. It almost a new meta with this playstyle, and astralis are yet to adapt i think.

this is not my opinion but from a caster and analyst in my country in 28th round (15:51) when KSCERATO climbing the ladder device actually heard and react to it (i watched the demo) but for some reason he didn’t call it (we can see it when Xyp9x didn’t check roof and dead) probably they have communication problems but that’s just blunder from device

I personally think the Astralis era is over. They have skipped so many events and the ines they do show up they are super underwhelming and don't take trophies home. I think Vitality or Liquid is going to start a new era very soon...

No offense to Furia, but Astralis used to be able to break down and dissect teams like Furia pretty quickly. All those teams that tried to outaim them or use really exploitative strategies against them were being figured out and suppressed in a dominant fashion. Now Astralis just looks bad compared to their oldselves: their individual level is not on point, their communication seems off, they stopped being proactive and adaptive in their plays. They were the best team ever not because of their tournament winning streak, but because of their legendary resilience. Even on their bad day they refused to give up: they were holding on to the smallest of straws their opponent would give them and just kept crawling back and winning. I really hope they can come back. I don't want to see them turn into another SK or Fnatic line-up.
