Only listen to clerics, saints, sheiks who has esoteric knowledge. Those people have a pure heart and are able to understand religion and God. They will understand the Qur'an on a higher level. When Allah guides you, you have to follow it. Do you know if Dr. Bilal Philips has a pure heart? I don't know. The reason why acquiring knowledge is important is that your purpose in life is to find God. If you do not possess the knowledge through which you can search for God, you will never be able to find God. We have not done any research. We are simply born in this world and start copying people as we grow up. I have researched all religions on spiritual level and studied Vedic knowledge, also Vedic astrology. I do not think Allah guides you through knowledge to forget about the knowledge. I can not tell you if it is haram or halal yet, but with the knowledge that I have know I think more halal than haram. I follow Allah's guidance and if He guides me through Vedic knowledge I am fine with that. I just let others in their knowledge or understanding of astrology. I think the stars can only be used in a way where we can find our direction from being in the sea with a boat, or knowing if it is Ramadan,(From the moon, like Astronomy! Astrology and Astronomy are two different things) or knowing if it is day or night. I don't think we should abuse it in a way where we think that the stars can make our future, only Allah (SWA) knows best:).

We don't worship moon .Worshiping moon is something far behinds than using moon sights as a measure the days that would be suitable for to keep the fasting .But ,today we have technologies where one really don't need to look up at the moon .

Astronomy is not about predicting the future of our lives but exploration of space and stars and planets and/or predicting the path of Celestial bodies based upon planetary mathematics or physics or astrophysics.

Jesus is one of the messengers of God whom God had created without a father if God can create the earth and the other planets out of nothing then why can't he create a man without a father?
