I want to thank Steve and Alex Cohen for purchasing the NY Mets. My father 85 years young and me 61 life long suffering fans can hold our heads high and proud of this fantastic team. Thanks also for embracing our history and love the laser lights after each home run. OMG!… LG Mets⚾️

The Mets remind me of the 68 69 Mets. The pieces fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. We don't need anything else. No trades. McNeil is coming around. Good game for him. You have to believe.😊😊😊😊

No, they definitely need another SP and maybe RP if they want to compete in the postseason. If Senga comes back the way he was last year, then the problem might solve itself.

All these streaming services are really sucking it. Only games I really get to see are using my HD antenna for WPIX, which is maybe once a week, and every so often when they play on Fox Saturday. I was surprised I got to catch the game on Wed when Prime streamed it. I tried getting SNY, but I don't have basic cable, so I'd have to pay ~$50 extra for basic, which I don't need/want...or pay extra for Fubo or Hulu TV...which is another $70 monthly, on top of the SNY subscription!! (also found out KZfaq TV doesn't off SNY anymore too. These services are all over the place!!) And what I don't get is SNY has their own streaming app too, so why be dependent on basic cable to subscribe! I feel they are losing so much money from people who have cut the cord....especially from the younger generation! At least the radio is free..which is way better than the out of town announcers!

it was cringe to watch. He was pissed and didn’t really say anything the rest of the time. It was like they were making a video to show kids how NOT to handle an infield fly ball.

Diaz is to blame for what happened today and apart from the fact that the team was unstoppable. But some players who only settle in when they are winning and when the team needs them, they don't put in the effort like today, what happened, how can these big players be so mediocre, I mean the pitchers, what do they get paid for? three harvesters three outs and they give away the game better pack up and leave the fans don't want them

It's infuriating watching him chase them low and outside sliders. If the baby mets can learn that type of discipline in a yr, don't see why Pete feels he can continue to fail in clutch situations but wants $200m contact 🤔 😕

I'm a Mets fan, I like this team, but.....a performance on the field after getting 1 game above .500 in June?? In 2022, in first place, they at least waited until the end of August to bring in Timmy Trumpets. Lets slow our roll, guys. Alot of season left.

I've been "Ya Gotta Believe!"ing for many years now and I've seen this movie way to many times. Until they actually make it through August and September i'll buy into the hype. Sorry I do not share your optimism fellow Mets fans.

I absolutely hate these guys in the booth being allowed to talk with players On the field, during a game! I believe if I were a Professional baseball player, I would Refuse to be part of that; I have a job to do to help my team Win; if you want to talk to me, do it before or after the game 😠;

Can the Mets still be sellers by the trade deadline or does this win streak change everything? Because I'm thinking we should trade Alonso and whoever else doesn't fit the youth movement that's bound to come up. I have nothing against Pete. I think he's a very good Met but how much can the Mets bolster themselves really? They're not a World Series team even if they get two more key players so why not build for the future? What say you?

I just feel like Alonso is going to warrant a big contract and the Mets have some young, lively bats that can easily take his place and the Mets can get back bullpen help or starting pitching by moving him.

The return for Alonso would be minimal; he would be a 3-month rental, and he's not having a great season; lower-level prospects at best. If he leaves in free agency, the Mets get a compensation draft pick next year and they can scout a player they want. Or, if Pete wants to gamble on himself he can accept the Mets 1 year qualifying offer so he can have an opportunity to have a monster year before going into FA. In my view, no downside to keeping him on the roster, not to mention without his 17 HR and 44 RBIs the Mets are not in WC race.

@@live2thefullest617 You don't need a big return for him. First base is the second dh spot in modern baseball because no one bunts. Should be the only dh spots...Alonzo doesn't have the speed for Citi if the winds are too tough to pull. He doesn't regularly hit for power to right.
