I love that this game doesn't have health bars for bosses, just a bar that shows how angry Asura is, and he just wins when it fills up.

Something I always like about Asura's Wrath is just the impact of everything. Every little input feels like it carries so much weight behind it. The sound of the punches, the parries, the burst. It all feels so good to listen to.

Nearly a decade old and the fight scenes in this game are still amazing.

I love how quiet augus’s death is, asura doesn’t say anything during or immediately after he just stands there, I like to think he’s remembering all the memories he made when training with augus

my favorite detail is Augus’ brutality is always capable of keeping up with Asura’s! Such as when they start doing their punch clash and he’s able to evenly pace his blows with Asura despite having only two arms against his six vajra arms, and makes Asura weary and cautious when he pulls out his sword afterwards. Augus truly is a goated character even if he only lasted somewhat towards the late first half of the game. He truly shows us, the player, that Asura is more than capable of pressing the fight on down the storyline when he barely defeats him in battle. Truly underpopular but very appreciated gem in the 2010s of gaming!

Maybe I'm overthinking this but I think Augus actually understood how they're different at the end, ambitons. Asura fights for others who can't fight for themselves, he's also a father and everyone knows a man will go to Hell and back for his daughter. Augus only fought for the thrill of the fight, honestly he was dead inside and only thing that kept him going was ultra violence. Asura got stabbed through the chest, had his arms blown off, got slammed against the Earth from outerspace and he kept fighting, Augus got a wound across his chest and gave up. In other words, Asura is more human than a god and that is why he won because humans have something gods cant, the will to keep going. Either that, or Asura got lucky he gave Augus a deeper wound resulting in a killing blow.

Asura and Augus are two sides of the same coin, identical yet opposite. Augus is a raging machine whose rage serves himself, Asura's rage exists purely to serve others. Augus is the ultimate Libertine whereas Asura is the ultimate Stoic.

Think about it. Not only would a lot of people love to see this game in remaster, but it would also bring in big money to Capcom cause of how much people love it. Plus plus, you'll most likely get more people (who haven't seen the game before) interested into buying the game. So basically, it's a win win for both sides, one gets their money and the other gets the product they want

Anyone else notice that Augus' moveset in his first phase is a souped up version of Asura's? He's got the combos, the launcher, the spinning heavy attack (not seen here but you can see it in a lot of other videos of this fight), and his big charge-in move that you can counter is basically Burst minus the instant win. This is a fight between master and student, and they went the extra mile to make sure it felt like that.

That is why I love Asura so much. He breaks his body and arms so much that even without them, he is still hard to stop.

This game although lacking in gameplay and very repetitive, perfected QTE and comic book story telling in gaming. DMC V perfected action adventure gameplay and yet has very minimal story telling. Capcom should combine them both and make the ultimate action game

I consider Azura one of the Canonicly strongest Charecters in all of Media because he beated his Universes Creator and singlehandly destroyed it. He is on of the Crosscanonical Broken high Tiers alongside Shulk from Xenoblade, Kratos from GoW and Doomguy from Doom. But their not Top Tier because their are Charecters who could literraly just wish their Victory from an Artifact they got ahold of during their Adventures. Sorry, Azura Fans, but Link can just wish Azura to Stop and he suddenly would by the Power of the Triforce.

i think this fight can give the player a big picture for the reason why Asura fight and he's angry all the time, Asura and Augus are two side of the same coin two person that were born and modade by the wars, and both of then enjoy fights, but even if a coin has 2 side the 2 side won't have the same content, after all Asura fight for more than just the fight, he knows there is more than just fight, His wife and principaly his Daughter, he don't want to just fight, he wants to protect what is most important to him and the only way he knows is fighting, resolving everything with his own hand, you can see that he deny everytime that Augus says that the only to get what he wants is with his fists "the ones who stands in the end is righteous.... " and have confident that his fists will do what he think is right ''walk the path that you must... " and in the end, Asura doesn't try to deny or simply tells Agus to *SHUT UP*, he listen, because is the only way he know ho to do things how to make what he believe come to reality, one of the big characterist of Asura is how he hates when people/gods/deitys trys to take advantage of the weak as he tells to chkravitra "there is always some fool who wants to rule the world, forcing others to things they can do for themselves" Asura is not a "DeEp ChRarActer'' but at the same time he's not just a shallow character who can destroy a planet size guy with his fist and is stupitly raging for no reason, he has his complexity even when the game blind you by epic fights, if you look more into the story you can see that it's a good story not a deep story but it has your complexity Note: MY ENGLISH IS HORRIBLE SO IF ANY SENTENCE OR WORD IS WRONG I'M SORRY, but i hope i could transmit what i think this fight means for the character and the story
