After treplacing a couple of Surface pro screens, this look like a walk in the park, Microsoft should watch this video and take notes :)

@@Sponsi_PL Most tablets (Surface Pro, iPad) and smartphones require you to heat the glass in order to soften the adhesive, which can be a real pain.

Fantastic Video i wish theire would be more People like you willing to show how to open such a device. It really helped me do decide if i will buy it. Because if it would have not be easy tobopen like Surface then i wouldent vonsider to buy it. So thx.

Thanks for the video. I was thinking of adding a magring and using a magsafe cooler from razer but it looks too much of a hassle to get to the back casing.

Nice, I just watched some Chinese BiliBili video on this. I just picked up a z13 and was wondering about future battery replacement. Seems nothing to worry about. At least it looks like the back of the screen has a heat barrier from the vapor chamber attached. I have a 2tb m.2 2230 coming this week for a large storage upgrade!

sounds good :) you should enjoy it, saying that. make sure u have a wifi dongle as fresh windows doesnt have wifi drivers ect.

Eyeing at a 2022 i5 model, which seller claims to have some magnetic keyboard issue if not put on flat.. but lookin at teardowns, am questioning the reliability of ASUS devices.

I was wondering the placement of the ram? Is it possible to solder a new ram for future upgrades? Does the placement of the ram affect the cpu n gpu liquid metal? If possible can you take some picture to see? Thankyou!

www.reddit.com/r/FlowZ13/comments/vzlkml/internal_pictures/ thats link to images and no, i wouldnt really recommend doing the ram i believe it possibly in-between the cpu and gpu (cant really see it else where?) either way anything is doable :) but it is ddr5 so harder to obtain

this was awhile ago mate i change tech very often. saying that. your basic ifixit screwdriver set will have all the bits as thats what i used

no the ssd slot on the back it only excepts them smaller cards

@@feklee not from what i can see you'd have to cut away at the back section of the case lol theres pysically only enough room for the smaller one

@@Seanjones1990 Thanks for checking! Certainly, one would need to mount a 2280 at an angle, or upside down. Maybe with the ACRNM version and a CNC mill it's possible.

wont a broken clip be harder to fix than a glued on screen?

@@Tacotrucktodd its not about when fixing the chances of dropping a phone is significantly higher than dropping a laptop/tablet and the surface area of the glue will hold the screen in way better than a limited amount of clip points

@@samuelkdu glue is about waterproofing :) it also increase the strength of the glass and phone in general

yes, you can remove the screen and buy a replacement screen to replace it with.

I just got one in Nov 2022 Yesterday the backlight came on but the laptop did not boot. Nor did the battery get charged after I left the laptop on charging overnight. Any idea what the problem might be And I bought it from Australia but I am in india currently. Will the warranty apply..?? Thanks

re-paste would be easy and there's no warranty stickers anywhere just only do this if you ABSOLUTELY have to as the cpu is using liquid metal, i've done it on all of the asus g14 series (my 2022 asus g14 dual amd was overheating all the liquid metal was pooled at the side of the gpu and cpu..) just be careful :)

@Bnun actually the reason you repaste it is because the liquid metal from factory isn’t always a good application I got back 10c just from scooping the crap at the side of the cpu and putting it back onto .. the cpu

It has an sd card slot so it's easy to add another 1 tb storage.

Hello and thanks for the dissasembly. Looks like the Wi-Fi module is an intel ax211d2w? I wonder why they did not use the Intel AX211D2WL which looks to be the same size and adds LTE functionality (Intel says Wi-Fi 6E , 2x2, Bluetooth 5.2, M.2 1216, LTE Coex). That said, it would need an antenna and sim card tray, so maybe that's the reason. That's pretty much the single one fault I have with this device. Oh well, maybe next model :)
