No problem to me. I watch this channel always only with uv protection glasses. Allways and all the time. You never know when you'll be exposed without a warning!

Having a skilled and really professional electronics repair shop where you live is invaluable. My custom PC build had random blue screens issue so I took it to two repair shops and none of them was able to determine the cause. Like being unable to locate the problem was not bad enough, the second shop also bent some pins on the CPU socket (9900K). I then took the PC apart and using a magnifying glass carefully corrected the pins and tried OCCT PSU test to check if the blue screen problem was because of my PSU. And I was right. Got a new Corsair RM850X and the system is rock solid since then (fingers crossed). So your expertise is invaluable sir!

you make it look so easy, I work on gas turbines and you would probably say the same about my work also, keep up the good work, it is making me a better gas turbine engineer, but we never repair anything, anything with a short is thown away and replaced

Not a complaint or demand just a suggestion. Wouldn’t this case be worth adding some adhesive to the back after replacement. I noticed the tracks left were lifting off the board. If only to help Big Boss?

How long does a job like this take? Is it worth getting my zephyrus g15 repaired? I’m willing to spend anywhere from $100-$300 on a job like this. I can repair the laptop myself but I don’t want to replace the entire board. Possibly bundle in my dead pixel in the display and the double spacing keyboard for the repair😬

The UV mask also protects the bare copper wire from possible corrosion / oxidation. If you were given the opportunity to visit the Asus (or other computer manufacturer) factory, would you go? 🤓

Thats why I always feel bad after watching your videos. It’s the UV Light that is affecting me!!!! Maybe I need to go buy a UV filter for my screen. :) :) :) Also, in your promo wording, it’s "they provide these services" and not "we provide these services". With that last whine, my day is done. no, only the + and - require large tracks, the middle 3 pins are for data and carry just a few mA.

Hi Northridge Fix. I got a question..story: i had my lap top out and was going to connect my Omega external hard drive but I accidentally got the laptop power cable and connected it to the external hard drive and it made a spinning sound as normal but very fast like in 1 second, it stopped spinning and a little smoke came out of it. Now when its connected it doesn't turn on at all, my question is I got the same external hard drive, what part of the damaged 1 can I take out and put it in the new 1 to save my files? Thanks.

@@VashStarwind Agreed, a connector that had tabs soldered to the PC board would have been better in this case. However, as Alex has shown in previous videos, even with tabbed and soldered connectors, users who don't know what they are doing will destroy their equipment.

It is not a case of being too rough. That connector has a metal bracket sliding type, and users do not slide it back before detaching the cable from connector, that is why they rip off the tracks. Asus design the internals to being handled by professionals, not everyday joe.

That kind of battery power connector is problematic. It does not have proper grip to the board.
