I´ve got the 4080 version with the i9 139800HX. And it can play a lot of games in quiet mode. It struggles with power delivery on battery and it has some coil whine. The cost of the desktop level of performance in a small package. Seen this on Lenovos and other high performance laptops. I use it as a workstation, and for gaming. It is a beast. In performance mod the GPU takes around 150-160W and CPU is at 55W max, but hovers around 35W most of the time. Leveling out at 80°C CPU/GPU while playing in performance mode. Never used Turbo.

Since it has two USB Type-C ports that both support Display Port, does one of the USB Type-C ports connect to the dedicated GPU in case I want to plug in a gaming monitor using Type C to DisplayPort adapter?

No it's really a problem if the GPU don't reach 140w than what's the point of spending that much money ? You bought the whole machine you have to use the whole machine

bruh 140watts on 4060 is reaching the point of diminishing returns, even in the rtx 3060 there is almost no fps increase above 100watts.also you would be a monster if you like to play with full fans

@@majksu Because in some videos, from the play station and some from other ROGs, the liquid metal has movement, there are even cases where it moves, leaving contact in some sectors of the CPU so some cores get hot.

I bought rog strix g16 with i7 rtx4060 240hz one. I only got one issue which is lan connection only works sometimes. Seems like it's an issue with the bios. Many have this problem, saw a reddit post as well

I just bought mine I got the rtx 4060 8gb am curious about the frame generation does it add input lag also does it feel weird when aiming? Can’t wait to see the screen and hear the speakers I’m going to watch the grand tour to see how laptop is for movies.

Am I wrong or did ASUS just advertised this laptop as having a numpad on trackpad? Literally the pics on their website shows numpad enabled. They dont come with numpad at all.

@@Storm-gy7mu I contacted support, at first they told me to install drivers, press nmlk on the trackpad but when I sent a pic of trackpad to them I was told that on some models its optional. There is no clear info which ones have or which ones dont. When I go to product page pf my laptop, the pics and everything shows the numberpad on it. There is also driver for it on support page. Im taking it as a false advertising tbh.

Can u share your cpu ideal temperature, cause mine is hot as hell 60c at ideal, room temp 27c, to hell with liquid metal and tri-fan honestly, with a cooling system like this, using liquid metal from not nobody but the grizzy bear, end up with thermal so bad but nobody give a shit

My Asus Rog Strix G16 (2023) RTX 4060 is reaching high temperatures, for example in COD MW 2 is reaching 85 C in the GPU and the CPU is reaching the 95 C. I think thats a lot! of course each game in the highest settings. I dont know if this is normal or in the long term will damage the laptop because of this temperatures?

No. Absolutely not. 4060 is better than 3070 but not by much. 4080 would be a solid upgrade.
