You have saved me from having to send my laptop off for warranty repair !! I didn't even realize there *was* a function key to disable the mousepad :O It's next to my sleep button so I must have hit it accidentally sometime. I got halfway through this video thinking it wasn't going to be of any use at all and then.....bam !! Sorted. Thank you sooo much ! I have an ASUS ROG Strix Scar II and I was really annoyed that the mousepad had packed in (weeks ago !!), when it was actually Driver Error - and I don't mean the Windows Drivers ! Like they say, "Problem located between seat and keyboard" :D Thanks again.

Thanks for the vid I’ve been trying for over an hour. What worked for me me was I went to Mice and other pointing devices, driver, update driver, let me pick form list etc. and mine says HID-compliant mouse. Worked right after I selected it. Hope this helps!
