What an absolutely superb video! Thank you. You’ve covered lots of small details and I like how you’ve shown them in the display box on the top left, excellent. Without having yet browsed many of your videos, have you by chance done a demonstration and performance video on this router? I should have listened to the end before writing my message, I will check out the other videos on this router shortly. The other router I was considering was the Asus rt58u, I was wondering what your thoughts were on this router in comparison to the one you’re reviewing? Thumbs up and new subscriber here. Hi, sorry for the slow reply. The only main different is the one I have reviewed has the Gaming features builtin, so if you are not a heavy gamer then suggest you stick with Asus RT58U as still is WiFi 6 and supports 160MHz bandwidth and 1024-QAM

Hi, great video. Does the router support dual wan load balancing/failover? Most Asus routers does, but it's not mentioned in the spec sheet for the Asus TUF AX3000 v2

I can under the settings it does, in the menu Advanced Settings > WAN > Dual WAN (Tab) ; It has the drop down to Enable Dual WAN

@@EclipseReviewsdual wan and dual wan failover are two different things, same for wan load balancing that is also different thing.

Hi, a question, but where does the router get the internet from? Should I pay for something other than the modem every month? And is it compatible with ps5?

In the UK you would use a cable provider e.g. Virgin Media, put their router in modem mode and connect the Asus WAN port to the modem router LAN port.

But you cant turn off wifi radio signals for nighttime while lan keeps network? At least i cant find such basic setting.

You can try the Time Schedule setting to turn off WiFi, Advanced Settings > Wireless > Professional > Choose the WiFi Band you want to modify > Enable wireless scheduler (Yes) > Click 'Time Scheduling'

Una pregunta que tan buena es la distancia con los 5GHz inalámbricos? Funcionarían bien a una distancia de 4m donde estoy yo del router jugando con mi celular y auriculares inalambricos, que tal es? Mantiene bien los Mbps de transferencia de internet?🙏🏼

La banda WiFi de 5Ghz debería ser excelente y funcionar sin problemas con una distancia de 4 m. En mi prueba alcanzaron el doble y aún obtienen buena velocidad, esto incluye tener varios dispositivos conectados al enrutador.

Depends on your internet connection and location in the world. No router is gonna give you an advantage on this. Learn some networking, stop asking stupid questions.

Yes you can just type the IP address for the router 192.168.50.1 in to your phones web browser and login. If it does not display correctly most mobile web browsers have an option to enable desktop mode which you can use.

Under advanced settings > WiFi you can switch off the AX feature for 2.4Ghz if causing issues. But leave it on for the other bands (e.g. 5Ghz)

Hello mate my old vodafone router took a dump. I got 500mb pure fibre service what I wanted to ask is this a general all round good router I don’t game but need something reliable and will last. The wife works upstairs on a window pc I got a iPad smart tv and 2 mobiles. The old shit router coped ok but is now dead. Just need a decent unit

Best to check first if you have VOIP home phone like I do with your Vodafone connection. AS this means its very difficult to swap out the standard Vodafone router as it uses this for the phone line. But if you do not then swapping the router for any Asus WiFi 6 or 6e router would be better and they last for years and get current updates for along time. This is the reason I like them.
