I can confirm the inside pretty same as D413IA(amd) ,I replaced thermal plaste with this guide! Now temperature from 80-85°C > 57-65°C!.

Great video,thank you. My biggest fear with this laptop came thru, the memory cannot be upgraded. But I might still add another disk if there's slot for it.

Thanks for this teardown, now I have no reason to crack it open... I just got the basic holiday model (I3 4gb ram UHD graphics and 128gb storage). A bummer that I can't upgrade the ram, but 4gb should be fine for my use-case (mostly 1080p streaming, small file/ app storage, and maybe light 2D games)

What's better? ASUS Vivobook X413EA-EK1338T, i5, 8GB, 512GB SSD or HP 255, AMD Ryzen 5, 8GB, 256GB SSD (model 2E9J2EA)?

Vivobook X413EA-EK1338T - double the storage space, slightly faster CPU. Ports are kinda similar, altho HP has a built in wired network card. (if you need one). With the Vivobook you will need a dongle to use wired connectivity. But I assume you will use WiFi anyway. Hope this helps.

I assume the chipset/cpu can handle 2 slots of memory by default, but since one is integrated (this is what detected as occupied), and the other slot is simply does not exists. It will still gives you a "false allert". It is similar like many gaming laptops. If shows you have 4 slots, but only 2 are actually in your machine. Otherwise your best bet is to remove the back cover and check for yourself. Maybe you have a different variant based on your country/region. ;)

There will be not much of a benefit imho. Better add a normal SSD into your system and run programs from there.

Hello, I took out my fan to clean it, but when I put it back and turned on my laptop(also X413), the white light turned on then back off and nothing happened. My laptop won't start anymore. Help please? Could it be the thermal paste?

That should not cause such issue. Could it be the battery connector not properly put back and just loosen? Try to turn it on with the power cord plugged in. Other than that it is hard to troubleshoot without see the whole process.

@@MakaiTechReviews I made sure everything was reconnected afterwards, but it just isn't working, and I did do what you mentioned. As of now I'm thinking it's a static buildup. Hopefully it works

Highlighy suggest check with HWINFO, or CPU-z the exact brand/and speed. Or you can open it up and check for yourself. The thing, RAM is what usually depends on the region and not the model itself. - www.hwinfo.com/

Hi sir. I have this exact laptop and i spilled wine in it yesterday.. Now the screen doesnt show anything other than black. The computer turns on and works like it always did and i can connect to an external monitor via bluetooth/cast and/or HDMI. But just the pc monitor doesnt show anything. I tried to take it apart but i cannot seem to get the motherboard fully out. I looked but i cannot see anything too noticeable on the side of the motherboard that i can see and i see that there is some black material on the backside of the motherboard (so i guess it would have protected the back side of the mobo from the wine??) . Do you have any idea what the issue could be or how to fix it ?

Most likely single channel. There are no RAM modules on the other side of the motherboard.

No, you cannot. There is simply no space and port to use traditional HDD. You have 2 m.2 slots for expansion and thats it.

When I buy my asus vivobook 14 k413 ek818t laptop have 4gb onboard ram and shopkeeper said I can upgrade it upto 16gb ram also asus service center said same thing ..then I check ram upgrade on cmd it's showing my laptop have 2 ram slot 1 slot used 2nd slot is open and it's upgrade upto 32gb ram ..but when open it my laptop have no ram slot ...what can I do right now ?

Gracias por avisarme de que este equipo tiene la ram integrada a la placa y no es extendible en RAM, estoy a punto de comprarlo y me estoy arrepintiendo por tener solo 8gb de RAM, lo quiero para DJ con Serato 3.0 y creo que se quedara corto en muy poco tiempo. Las demas características son de las mejores, pero que penso Asus con la RAM que no es ampliable, todo un error.
