The last time I watched this channel I was looking for a laptop, around a year ago. Now the quality has improved to such a point where I can watch for enjoyment.

A nice hack for these displays is to hide the taskbar, hide the icons and set the background to black. Any time you haven't got a window displaying the thing is basically off. Saves power, does the display some favours burn-in wise, impresses with contrast when you look at the mouse pointer

I just returned an Asus VivoBook s for this. I really like this laptop. If you're doing photo editing the screen is ridiculous and you'll get some really good color accuracy in the SRGB mode

Great video, I bought the i5 1340P Zenbook 14 OLED and I couldn't be happier, great battery, quiet, pretty cool overall, good speakers with dolby atmos, pretty solid integrated graphics, amazing keyboard and trackpad and a freaking awesome display with hdr support for something like netflix, jellyfin, plex etc. Overall a great laptop for pretty much every use case except for gaming for that you should either get a gaming laptop or pc or even an xbox or ps5. I would advise against gaming laptops tho since they prioritize performance and skimp out on the rest of the features like speakers, keyboard trackpad, display etc. Just get a PC or a console if you're a gamer depending on your needs and your budget.

Thanks for the review, I've been eyeing to buy a more portable laptop within my budget that's readily available in Japan. I'm now trying to decide between this and my initial choice of the HP Pavilion Aero 13 G3

I would not recommend the HP Envy at all. They have serious hinge failure issues, my hinge broke through my screen and completely shattered the corner of it.

@@Hanad3 Bad design, shocking battery life (It degrades VERY quickly, you’ll notice it after a month of use) hinges are also incredibly weak as well. Seriously, just avoid HP in general. Dell or Asus is the only way to go👍🏻

hey, I am from India and thinking of buying this laptop. though I watched many reviews but none of them mentions about heating issue. In amazon India website people are saying that this device heats a lot and stuff like that cuz i have to use this laptop most of the time in non-AC rooms which is why I am confused to buy one.

I actually have this laptop, and let me tell you, it heats UP. Especially when I’m using it in bed while charging it, it can get pretty hot. Unfortunately tho, I broke the screen and can’t find a replacement anywhere bc it’s an oled screen :/ so if you do end up buying it, don’t leave it in the floor and step on it like I did :’)

The AMD models should run colder. I have the UM3402YA with the hexacore Ryzen 5. The charger IC gets toasty, but apart from that, unless it's under load, the CPU sits about 20°C above ambient and the fan is either off or near-silent. I keep mine in "whisper mode", I don't do anything that requires any amount of power beyond CAD and Arduino/FPGA compilers. Even those are a "from time to time" thing. If you need a machine for heavy workloads, build yourself a tower. This is a laptop. Take it to the coffee shop and watch some youtube on it. Or post to your blog. Or write some code. Don't bother with heavy video encoding, leave that for your threadripper main rig 😉

Dream a new dream. Laptop runs very hot and the fan noise is very loud. CPU is heavily throttled. This is the 3rs Asus I have bought the duo, the 14x oled(a mere real world 5hr battery life!) and this one. They look great but that is all they are .eye candy

@@gouravsaneja current price is 60k and with card offer 57500. No I did not order the laptop. However I think it is better to go with Lenevo slim 6 which is ignored by youtubers but has very solid specs and it is priced around 51k including bank offer

The latest Asus laptops support MPP 2.0 so any pen that supports that protocol should be compatible.

Sorry for the 3 min long ad! Normally I hardly do integrations longer than 60 seconds (often none at all). But these laptops are super costly and I pay for most of them out of pocket, rare ads like these can help fund that cost and also of course provide bread on the table! Rest assured 3 min long ads are extremely rare on this channel.
