Hi Vincenzo, definitly not an accident for the asvine nibs. I own all the Asvine pens, and all medium Asvine nibs are wet and smooth. Asvine seems to have a good nib control, I never found a bad M nib from asvine. What I think it can also be noticed: these nibs was very stiff, but based on the last Asvine model I have, asvine seems to have reworked a bit their nibs and they seem less stiff than previously. If i compare the nibs M with F, I think the Asvine M nibs are much better than F nibs (without taking into account personnal preference). F nibs are from my view less pleasant to write with (yet nothing bad but it losses the pleasant caracteristic of the M nib to become a standard F nib) Thank you again for this nice review !

I also have two Asvine 20's and I'm very pleased with their performance,......I think you get a lot of bang for your money.

The piston doesn't descend far enough to completely fill the chamber, but as you said, it's an adequate amount of ink. That purple resin is very attractive, and reminiscent of the Narwhal Schuylkill Dragonet Sapphire.

When I was stupid, I used to spend a looooooooot of money on Pelikan, Aurora, Omas, ST Duponts, Parker, Sheaffer, Conway Stewart, Mont Blancs, etc. Then I got smart and stopped buying them and started buying Chinese pens. I have this Asvine in Galaxy Blue. It’s one of the best pens I have ever had. The nib is unbelievably smooth. It’s definitely a contender. The worst pens I’ve ever had are the Aurora and Omas. As most Italian producers, they are gorgeous outside and garbage quality wise. I haven’t tried Leonardo but I’m not interested given all my prior experiences. In terms of expensive pens, S T Dupont is in a class of its own. Thanks a lot for the video.

I guess you had bad experiences with Italian pen makers. Personally, I stay away from Montegrappa and Visconti as they are extremely overpriced and the Visconti nibs are hit and miss and mostly miss. But I must respectfully disagree with regard to Leonardo, Delta , Maiora ,Gioia, Tibaldi. Stay tuned I will be reviewing a few coming up. My goal for 2024 is to buy Italian high quality pens ats low price. The key is wait for the sales and stay away from the initial marketing hype.

@@fountainpentherapy Thanks for your reply. I heard that when Leonardo moved to JoWo things got better. I’m glad to hear that you had good luck with the Italian manufacturers that you mentioned. I will definitely watch your videos and will take advantage of sales. Cheers,

How many pens does one need anyway? I don´t need but still own a few Italian pens, and all of them are beautiful, most of them are of good or very good quality (Leonardo, Delta, Gioia, Maiora) and yes, some of them really sucked and had to go (Leonardo Pura, Omas, Visconti, Montegrappa). Which is annoying when they ask for premium prices in exchange for bad quality. When that happens I grap one of my German pens (Lamy 2000, Lamy Studio Palladium, Lamy Aion or a Diplomat pen). Reliable, no bullshit quality. Just to calm me down before I buy the next "Premium" Pen 😀

Dear Vincent, it is always a great pleasure for me to watch your highly informative and entertaining videos. I can understand your anger about the lack of a matt gold finish on the cap band. Manufacturers should present their advertised products sensibly and honestly. Small differences are ok, but whether something appears matt or shiny makes a difference. In any case, the fountain pen is beautiful and worth the money. Many thanks for your effort.

I have 2 of these, 1 in Ocean Blue & one in Galaxy. I've been going back & forth on amber or purple, but it's so difficult to see true colors on the phone or computer screen. So glad to see the purple up close! It's beautiful & I think has made up my mind! Both that I already own have been a pleasure to write with, as have all of my other Asvine pens.

Great review! Excellent pen! It is funny how people choose the pens for comparison! Personally when I got this pen immediately I compared it to Hongdian N1S. They are both piston fillers and both are excellent writing instruments (especially if you consider the price). P20 is heavier (just enough so it feels great holding it in hand) but you cannot post it. N1S you can post great but it's piston mechanism feels a bit flimsy. But still I love both of them and they are in frequent use. Thank you very much again! And Merry Christmas!

The Asvine P20 and the Armando Simoni Club Studio are the same! The two pens differ only in some cosmetic elements but they share the exact dimensions and all the parts are interchangeable.

I have the EF nib which is great, but stiff. Reminds me of some of the Wing Sung nibs, I'd even bet they are the same nib, just look different.

Great video. That's a nice purple! I got the Ice Blue version ad I love it. Mine is not that wet. I think you were very generous giving a 7.5 for design, since it has a lot of deja vus... Lol

Thanks for sharing! Just received the amber and the blue is being shipped. For the wetness sometimes the ink makes a difference. As to the deja vus, when all is said and done most pens today can be said to be deja vus...LOL
