I am surprised that we should refer to child protective services based on SECOND-hand information? I'd want to see this child myself. What if that parent is lying, exaggerating, etc.? I hear that we are not investigators, but do we rely on 2nd hand information?

But the social worker knows that the boy is very active. CPS would not come out in reality in my area anyway. That would have stomped me. I think the unexplained bruises is the issue
