Hi Ray. I got this wrong because the question doesn’t say the social worker is designing the program it says they are evaluating a program which makes me think the program already exist. Can you explain more

I agree. The question seems to be poorly worded. The program is being evaluated (which I took to mean as already completed). In other words I took evaluation to be past tense. Answer D says what the goals will be...future. Sorry, don't mean to be nit picky, just curious for rationale. I really appreciate all the content. Thank you.

I agree with others in regard to the program evaluation question. Answer D should read, “Determine what the goals and objectives WERE for the program. Once we get to the evaluation of a program, the goals and objectives have already been set for the program because that happens in Program Development.

When you’re going in and you’re evaluating a program that already exist it first makes sense to determine what the goals are for that program

@@hannahcooper8506 I agree with you all and your response however in your response you also say what the goals “are” not “will be” hence those words change the trajectory of the answer. This question confused me as well with the wording so I searched through the comments to see if anyone else felt the same way

Hi Ray! I got this question wrong. Program evaluation is something we do at the end, correct? So answer D reads to determine what the goals and objectives WILL be as opposed to what they ARE? Which is different in my mind. I’m thinking if we are evaluating, all that other stuff is done already. All the other answers didn’t really make much sense to me but the will be through me off. Lol

Hi Ray! I watched your videos for a few weeks. Your teaching style and relevant content were encouraging for me. After years of putting off my exam, I had enough confidence to schedule my LMSW exam without hesitancy. I passed the exam on my first attempt with only a few hours of studying and finished an hour and a half before allotted time ended. In my version, knowing the seven stages were key to the correct answer. Keep up the great work you do. You are an amazing resource for those studying social work. Melinda

Hi Ray, I have been studying with your videos. This one stumps me. I cannot understand how you derive that the question is asking what is the FIRST step in setting up a program to be evaluated." I feel this is one of those questions that if I cannot understand what it is asking, then I will not know how to answer it. It would be so good if you could explain how you determined what this question is asking. Thank you so much for helping all of us. You are truly a great teacher.
