This is a useful video about delayed asylum interview decisions but some factors are not very clear. You should make a video regarding step by step process after asylum interview. That will help so many people a lot to understand the exact process that what AO do after interview till mailing out the decision. Thanks for sharing the information.

Thank you Brian.. Of late, Are there cases whereby they send EAD, and days later they send a letter of denial asylum/ letter of intent.? Or do they send asylum denial first then they send the EAD afterwards.?

Hi Brian, I have a question about the I-589 Form. Before leaving my country I had 2 passports, one valid and one expired. On the way, shortly before crossing the border, some people stole my current passport to extort money from me, and when I met the border patrol I gave them the expired one. In this case, what passport should I write in the Part A.I Question 21? I'm confused because some people have told me that I should put the number of the one I gave to homeland security, and others tell me to put the most recent

Hi Brian .. I have a question about below mentioned USCIS update regarding a case. USiCS record indicates that the case is under review. We are unable to determine at this time when the review process will be completed. USCIS will issue a decision on pending asylum application once certain issues are resolved. We are striving to resolve these issues as soon as possible. What means by the unresolved issues? Thanks

hi brain I apply asylum 2015/09/21. I went asylum interview 2023/08/15. I got decision 2023/09/21 there said u\you have not seablished that you are a refugee ///??? what have to do next

I applied for asylum in 2014 but I came in 2006 I didn't know about this until my life was at risk if I returned to my country because I am gay and because of the people who abused me and because of the threats from the gangs, I already had an interview in October 2022, the officer said to go get the answer within two weeks and then the officer called my lawyer not to go get the answer but they would send it by mail and to this day I have not received nothing, it just says it's pending on the uscis website, if this is something positive or not?

Hi Brain, it’s been exactly 80 days since my Asylum filling and instil haven’t received an appointment for Biometrics and Asylum receipt. I did not include a passport style photograph when I mail the application. Is the delay caused by this ? Pls kindly reply 🙏🏿

So my question is, i forgot to include my passport style photographs in my asylum application, will this affect my case or wait time in anyway?😢

You have to wait 180 days and then apply for work permit or EAD
