Imagine what Hendrix would have been doing by the age of 35 or 40.he was hugely influential on rock music by the age of 27 and he more than likely would have taken rock music in a direction the world will never get to know.

He and Linda never had any sort of romantic courtship. He tried, but she always rebuffed him. Their relationship was strictly platonic. She did, however, take issue with Kathy when her and Jimi got together so fast. Because Linda knew how naive and overly trustworthy he could be to people who were essentially just hangers on. She was very protective of him as a friend.

Had read a book about Hendrix in the early 80s. Remember telling someone I did. They were familiar with it. They told me the book glossed over Hendrix's violent behavior which there were legal issues and problems. It wasn't until much later on I saw a documentary about Hendrix with Chas Chandler in it that he talked about Hendrix's violent behavior.

Hendrix was a genius musician but a terrible manager and decision maker. He was so bloody gullible and would sign almost anything if he believed it would further his career. Since this was not his area of expertise he would rely on others, often with bad intentions, to manage his business. This resulted in the mess that followed. I'm sure Jeffries made sure he was high all the time so he wouldn't even notice anything awry. It's sad that a split second decision to sleep with a groupie would cause so much trouble later. There was always something about the Hendrix family dynamic that didn't sit right with me. Seems there has been a lot of fraud surrounding all of this.

The reason you know he's the greatest. Tally up the competition, the top 20 greatest guitarists of all time, Hendrix being one of them. I have heard Hendrix say his idol was Chuck Berry but then later he said his favorite player was Billy Gibbons(zztop) Ask the other 19 and the majority will say Hendrix. For whatever reason Eric Clapton had the goat reputation before Hendrix. He went to meet Hendrix, being told by close friends, "You gotta see this guy." Clapton got his ass off the throne straight away..

I saw a story once, and it was on KZfaq of his old managers, saying that he was scared that if Jimmy turned to Jesus that he would lose his, you know Entertainer and money he said some pills down his throat and made it look like he had overdose, but Jimmy didn’t actually take pills and do all that kind of stuff and sadly this video is nowhere to be found anymore, but I was young when I saw it and knew to computers, I’m just happened to See it
