Another problem is many food manufacturers are now owned by Holding Co's. The quality goes down, jobs leave the United States, and the products costs the same or more. An example of this is Mondelez. You might want to investigate them.

Pretty sure monopoly was understood as a weakness of capitalism in the original book and government's role is supposed to be about avoiding that (and pricing on externalities like pollution)

There is NO Free Market, the corporations bought their competitors out, and as close to monopolies as they can get away with. Tax at 90% like the government used to before Reaganomics destroyed this country Price gouging and Shrinkflation are a thing.

Exactly. The suppliers couldn’t “gouge” if there wasn’t plenty of money afloat in the economy from Democrat give-away legislation. A basic understanding of economics would let people see this.

She wants to kill crypto in the United States, blames it for tons of illegal stuff but doesn't know that you can literally track down the sender and the receiver... Currently, most black market things still use the untraceable dollar bill... She is a full blown liar on that regard.
