I used it too and am very pleased. I got it as an alternative to a hair relaxer. Wow.. you wash your hair a couple times a week. I got to up my wash game although I liked the look of my hair better in week 2. I'm going to reorder. By the time it comes in, it will be time to redo. Thank you so much!!

Thanks so much for this video. 😀 I have used Keratin research several times and I've used Keratin Express Plus because you can spray it in BUT they both have formaldehyde so I stopped using keratin. I just ordered this. :) You and your hair are gorgeous!

Oh you will love it trust me. It truly does make you hair soo soft. And I love the fact it’s so natural I can apply it with bare hands. I will say. Just like Savvy suggests. When you wash before you apply the treatment. Don’t scratch your scalp. After her giving that tip I made sure I didn’t irritate my scalp. And let me tell you you really can feel the product working. Not a bad tingling but more like a cooling sensation. It truly does last in your hair for a few months. I’m about to order me another treatment. I hope this helps 😊

Hi Savvy, The ingredients in this product has Sodium Hydroxide in it which is “Lye “ AKA “Relaxer” which of course straightens the hair just like all the black hair relaxer products have in them. It causes a lot of hair damage…what is your take on this and how is the health of your hair currently since you did this video? Thank you in advance!

Someone else mentioned that after I filmed this. It’s the 7th ingredient so that tells me that it’s not the most active ingredient in the product. I can’t remember what my research told me, but at the time, I didn’t have concerns with what I learned. I have not experienced hair loss that I can tell. You can check out some of my recent videos. I will continue to monitor my hair. I also will probably not apply the product that frequently to minimize the chance of any damage. I did the same thing with my previous keratin treatment. Hi. Just an important point for anyone who reads this and in understanding any ingredient lists, the position on an ingredient is not an indication of how much is in there or how dangerous it is. Only information about percentages interactions will do that. Lye is definitely the active ingredient in relaxer and is a damaging ingredient to skin. People should understand that the product you are discussing is basically just a relaxer under a different name.

The keratin product itself definitely makes my hair look like I need to wash my hair sooner then without keratin in it let’s just say the word it makes it look greasy quicker that’s definitely the product!! 😊

Hi 👋. I use semi permanent color and I clarify shampoo my hair, then I apply the semi permanent color, rinse, then I apply the keratin treatment. That works for me. Hope this helps! ✨🥰

I’m not sure. As my hair has grown, I really haven’t noticed a major difference between my new growth and my hair. My hair was actually more straight near the roots than anywhere else. Maybe use other smoothing styling products to help with new growth. ✨👍

After hearing you say that your hair became permanently straight and after looking at the ingredients list it is clear that this is a mild relaxer cosplaying as a keratin treatment but what concerns me is that with all relaxers you must use a neutralizing shampoo to stop the chemical process but this product does not come with a neutralizing shampoo nor does it suggest you use one. I'm concerned that prolonged usage of this product will result in hair breakage

Yes. I have to straighten it every time I shampoo it but it’s easier than when I don’t have a keratin treatment. It doesn’t and frizz and the curls don’t revert back when I get it slightly wet in the rain. Of course that won’t be the case if you get stuck in a downpour but drizzle is fine. do you need to buy the shampoo and the conditioner? I do have clarifying shampoo

You don’t have to use the shampoo but it’s a good value when you purchase as a package. Clarifying shampoo should only be used prior to applying the keratin. After that, the clarifying shampoo will strip the keratin from your hair. Use a sulfate free shampoo. Thanks for watching! ✨🥰

I have already received this & can't wait to try it. My only issue is with the blow drying: do I use a handheld blow dryer or can I use my RevAir dryer? Which would you recommend? By the way, you're GORGEOUS: hair, makeup, overall beauty!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thanks for the compliment. I just looked up that dryer and it seems to have contact with the hair. I’m not sure if I would use it. Maybe find a simple blow dryer that’s not that expensive just to use for this purpose. Good luck! 👍🍀

Hello! My biggest problem with keeping my hair straight comes from when I shower and when I sweat. Does this treatment keep hair from "going back" during such times?

Yes, you can buy the keratin by itself. Only use clarifying shampoo before applying the keratin. If you continue to use clarifying shampoo, it will remove the keratin from your hair. You have a similar curl pattern to me, I love my curls, but it’s high maintenance, I don’t know about you but my curls are either amazing, lustrous bouncy and get so many compliments….or it’s a birds nests….there is no in between, in order for me to have great curls I need to wet it everyday and give it the time and affection it demands or ..birds nest….I’ve tried silk pillows, hair caps wrapping my hair in a silk scalf and the curls just get crushed over night and nothing can revive it other than giving it what it demands, a co wash and some product. This isn’t hard but it’s everyday and some days I just need to be able to rush out the house and unfortunately that means my hair looks bad….does keratin make life easier or is it the same?

My hair is definitely more manageable now. When it’s straight it’s easier to straighten than before keratin. When it’s curly, it’s less tangled. I do still have to wet it daily to get my curls to look fresh. Also, the curls are not as tight as before. They are more of a loose wave. So that’s something to consider before doing this treatment.
