After meeting a former Indian scam centre employee at a park in West Bengal, I trusted him enough to go to his house and see all his scam call centre notes and find out first-hand how he and others scam foreigners on the phone.
You'll see exactly how they train call centre staff in India, including the motivation quotes they teach them to keep going in the face of constant rejection. You'll see his house and we'll talk about why Indians work in scam centres and not leave.

from the years 89-92 I was homeless. I lost everything. My family,job,my money my belongings, everything was gone. I was living in Clinton park in nyc. Winter time I would try and sleep in trains and I would constantly get kicked out. I’ve also slept in shelters but trust me you are better off in the street than a New York City shelter. Most my food came from trash cans or I would hang out by the A&P supermarket and one employee would save me something they were about to throw away. But I wasn’t always so lucky too get that. I was starving at times that’s mostly because I didn’t want to risk getting sick from eating something out of a street trash can or curb side trash bag. One day I’m watching some guys playing baseball at a park and I had no idea who they were but one guy on the team kept looking at me. I walk away then shortly after that guy comes up to me and he is calling me name. he was someone I went too school with. He took me in and even got me a job cleaning windows where he worked. I was making some decent money. I was able to save up and get my life back on track. And now I’m a supervisor as a material handler in Connecticut. And during my toughest, darkest,desperate times I’ve never ever stolen a single penny from anyone. You are absolutely wrong about that statement.
@kryten4k
@kryten4k 4 жыл бұрын
@@sedaberry You are absolutely wrong about my statement and what it really means, however, since I had another comment on this I'll explain. The point I am making is that is easy to sit in a comfortable armchair in a protected warm environment with a full stomach plus constant income...then pass immediate judgement onto others. I honestly do not believe people when they try and virtue signal to me that they are good people, I simply do not have enough information to go on to make that judgement. There is a saying that 'Every society is three meals away from chaos' and there is a certain truth about that because not everybody has such a robust set of morals (like you). Most people will never be truly tested like you and I (yes I also was homeless and desperate and didn't steal). I simply don't believe that majority of the privileged people posting on here would fair very well given a true challenge like that. Most would come close to even murdering somebody if they were deprived of internet or their phone let alone actually go hungry or homeless! I always say: You only really know what you are made of until you are tested - good or bad. PS: You should write about your life so others can be inspired, thank you for your story.

Then , I said " Sorry Sir , Was just drinking my cuppa , Bobs your uncle . He clearly did not know the meaning of cuppa and bobs your uncle and EVERY brit knows these idioms and high tea rules and he answered " Yeah , bobs my uncle " so just for some sazzy british humour , I said " Oh no !! The scotland Yard came to arrest me !!" and I then disconnected the line .

I'm using Karl's evidence here to tell scammers when I bait them they are full of crap when they say they make thousands per hour. I've always known they make slightly more than what a call center employee makes in a legal job. I often criticize them as well, saying "You need to go back to scammer school" which is a fun way of telling them they need to work on their pitch because so many of them either blow it in the attitude department or brains department (when I mean brains, I mean technical skill). What I have noticed early on, however, is that female scammers are far more bitter and give up a lot faster than their male counterparts. I'm sharing Karl's video on my community tab because the knowledge we're getting is invaluable. Great work, Karl.!

After finding out that 90% of these people are just desperate, a really cool mission/solution would be to actually reach out to them through the scam numbers and find some sort of legitimate work for them. Recruit these scammers to use their scamming skills in a positive way. Take away all the employees from these call centers. Not sure what job you'd offer them but it could be some sort of freelancing or salaried job. These scamming jobs don't even pay well so I don't see them choosing it over a legit job for the same money.

Thank you so much for this video. There is always two sides to a coin. I really enjoy yours and Jim Brown's content. Your approach is mature and lucid. Yes, it is the ppl at the top who have to be taken out and put away for good. I do understand some western guys calling up call centres and cussing out the workers like Arpun. That's not much help in bringing down the operation 😒

Arpun is a great guy. Brave of him to tell his story. With dignity he left his dirty job. Though be careful, don’t feel sorry for those who knowingly continue to work in this field, no matter what their situation. Feeling sorry for them is a scam in itself.
