Were at, at least 100 yard with the Umarex Gauntlet 2 .30 cal grouping on two Shoot Steel torso targets.

If you are thinking about a GoPRO11, don't bother. It's basically a beta-test camera, and we are the beta testers. They should be paying me to do R+D, what a joke of a camera...

Those heavy slugs must be dropping 2-3 inches at 100 yards. Crazy on how hard they hit.🤠

That 2nd target group was amazing at 100+ yards. I see what you mean by the blue 44 grain FX pellets. It is making me want to try them in my .25 cal.

Thank you! It would be interesting to test out. I think the colors change depending on the caliber. I've seen a purple and yellow one for .25. For .30 its blue and red. Blue is lighter, red is 50.2 grain. The yellow is lighter as well, vs the purple. I went with the yellow, but my AEA SF does not feed them. I'm positive its the gun being picky and needs slugs. If you want, I can send you a couple of FX yellow tins. I have zero use for them now.

For the price this things insane the hunting package they have for 570$ with scope and rails 2 mags and bipod ! Crazy deal 150$ Amazon compressor and ur good ! I might try to save for the fix impact just because it’s much shorter and has many different uses or the new model fx that are coming out for 1000$ but the impact is like the intimate gun I gotta sell these new spyderco 15v knives first ugh

Its very comparable to 22lr in price. A lot of people try to rip it apart for the cost, I just dont get it. Even if you spent a good chunk on a compressor, its hopefully a 1 time thing for a long time to fill whatever you want to run. After that its just pick what you like and get going.

That's such great grouping on that second target. I really wanna get my hands on one of these now! :) The Canadian version here won't have sound suppression we aren't allowed to protect our hearing with firearms because that would be too scary apparently.. I wonder how loud the same gun here would be and performance being affected. Oh whats the heaviest pellet/slug you have run through that Gauntlet with good grouping? I see you have another vid on this gun cant wait to check it out :)

Thank you! This thing is going to be loud without a moderator. Probably similar to a 22lr subsonic, nearly the same energy. The Gauntlet 30 needs barrel work to properly fit some slugs, Ive neen using the FX 44.8 grain blue tin pellets and they are definitely solid up to that 100 yard mark. 70 yards was my max range before this area got cleared out, its a laser beam at 70 with pellets. I ordered a 2nd one, should be in this week hopefully. Hajimoto is a local shop to me that does work on it. Side cocking lever, barrel work, trigger jobs, etc. They upgrade these pretty done up. Im going to be testing out big slugs for this. Theres a video with this at 200 yards tossing slugs, very accurate.

Interesting! I definitely had hopes of using slugs. So out of the box I won't really be able to use slugs with the gauntlet? What kind of barrel work? I guess this is research I need to do, perhaps that is something I can work out with the seller (when I find one..) Any extra work or upgrades you'd recomend will be valuable info to me :) I can see how I'd love PCP shooting so much I start justifying some of the nicer pricer models. If worst comes to worse I guess I could justify it by selling some of my firearms that rarely get used anyway... but parting with any 'gun' is always so hard hahaha @@toxicmatrix1337

I can’t get my gauntlet to fill anymore it filled the first filling and now it won’t but it’s a beast when it works.

What happens when you fill it? If its completely empty, the gun needs to be cocked

@@toxicmatrix1337 I can’t get over 1200 psi and I think I did it with the bolt pulled back but I’m gonna have to pull it out and try again now tonight see if I can get it to fill.

@@Imissthe90sletsgoback what are you using to fill? Sometimes guns will leak until you hit X amount of psi. Its recommended to use a transfer tank or a compressor sometimes to do initial fills. Not sure if you are using a hand pump.

I'm going to re-rest at this distance in the future. I'd love to get slugs going in this, but I need to modify the gun to feed them properly. Those previous pellets I kept complaining about, would be horrendous at this distance. I tried doing my Know Your Limits target at 50' and I could hit a damn thing with them... LOL
