Picked up this used AT overland Topper ATLAS model -this will be just a general overview of topper and how to open it and what came with it. I didn't purchase this directly so I'm going over what the previous owner chose for add-ons on to basic topper.
I will be doing another video on an easier way to open topper-well at least for me being short and a bit weak. Also a track that AT overland told me.
and then of course the mods I plan on doing and why I purchased this particular topper. Thanks for watching!

lol. it was my first few times popping top on camper- its still a bit hard-need upper body strength and maybe new gas shocks. But your right people need to see if it is a hassle-but it's worth the bit of hassle. thanks

At first I rolled my eyes at the less than polished presentation but then woke up to the realization that this was a very candid, raw, down to earth sharing of your excitement and hands-on feedback. While YT is not lacking in professional video reviews, your overview presents how other new owners might encounter....down to the degree of effort needed to raise the pop-up. Didn't wan to call myself fat-lol. I use the term robust at work instead of the other when I have to move patients. The camper is really cool and I feel safer -snakes and critters and when it rains. I'm currently looking for an assignment in. Alaska but nothing available so far. Applying to 2 this week fingers crossed. and will be taking this and maybe camper to Alaska.

Thank you for your honest and unedited review. It gives me a great idea of what to expect as a female setting up and taking down the topper. Now that you've had it for a while, how do you like the topper on your truck as a daily driver? What do you like about it and what would you do differently? It looks well-made and sturdy. Have you experienced any issues with leaks or other problems? I appreciate your time and insights.

I love this unit for my back country travels-pops up easy-have to build a few things on the inside and purchase another mattress for the top-need comfort lol. but will be perfect on y travels I'm out of elements especially the wind/sand and rain. and animals and such. I have a diesel heater and looking to get a portable AC for those warmer nights. thanks Kathy!

@@pressurecrisp we have one and I’m having a hard time memorizing all the sequences but I have your examples and that will help so much! Thank you! First night we camped in it, ( last night) it rained,😉, of, course. It’s much more sturdy that a tent only. And drier.

@@lydialangfordjoiner765 Lydia there is an easier way to open it-I stood up on tailgate and lifted from outside -so much easier if I have a chance today I will do a quick short to show you and I have a trick to make sure all the fabric is tucked in.

It is a bit difficult to open the top-the best way is to stand on tailgate and push the back up first. I may attend overland expo man west and they are going to be there-I'm going to ask is it supposed to be so hard or can I get different gas shocks. also when to take it down from the inside be sure your head is below where it sits it comes down hard. But I took it on a 5 day trip and loved having this set-up-just wish I had a small tent to claim a boon docking site earlier in day if I wan to go hike or explore-

Wow! I Love your set up but too much. Need more training...this video lets me know this would be too much for me. I got aggravated watching all of this...steps, push, pull. Tiring. I appreciate your real world video. The AT was on my list. I cannot do all "that". If it takes all that to set up...take down must be...geez.

It’s actually pretty quick. Of course clam shell style quicker to set up. AT Overland makes one.

I purchased mine used -they just installed it on my Jeep gladiator. They were great-customer service fantastic-they are running a business so I get it.

I found mine on Facebook marketplace-I'm in the west and just did searches all over-I changed my home city-first I looked in Flagstaff, az then moved to Santa Fe, NM and that when I found the topper. So grateful! and there is a Facebook group AT overland, or project M@@Kindeyag

I bought my Atlas 13 months ago from an authorized dealer....I didn't get a hat or a t-shirt....LOL!
