At The Railyard: Cape May County

...in the last three years, we've looked at a variety of Microsoft Train Simulator add-ons "At The Railyard". Now, the time has come to look at another simulator and the content built for it - Trainz Railroad Simulator.
We've seen how New Jersey looks in MSTS as part of the PRR Eastern Region. Does the garden state also bloom in TRS? We'll find out in this review...at the railyard.

It's hard to believe this was made before K&L Trainz graced us with their collection of beautifully recreated Pennsy steamers.

I live 40 minutes away from Cape May :D Something you won't find on forums, the mafia used to use these routes and similar ones to run liquor from Philadelphia to Cape May itself.

I've actually ridden this line in real life. My grandfather has always told me stories about the blue comet and the freight service that used to go through Winslow Junction, which is north of Tuckahoe. The P-R Seashore lines still runs excursions around Christmas, but the line isn't what it was.

Gorge really did a nice job on this route and I run it often. With Steve Lerro's PRR Content for trainz, it is quite enjoyable.

I love this route, especially the old PRSL. In my opinion, we need to see another version of this route and possibly the full PRSL route.

Nick, as a dedicated msts user, I enjoyed this look at Trainz. You really do an excellent job with these. And yes, I *would* like it if you would review RailWorks 3.

Very cool! Trainz seems so much more expandable to me. Over at the USLW forums, we are constantly working on new routes. Some are released, and some are not. I do, however, recommend the switch to Trainz 2012 via JointedRail. I'm really glad you found Trainz, and I hope you enjoy it in the years to come!!

This clip was just shared on the members email list for the PRSL Historical Society which I own and manage. I understand these simulators are a big hobby as well but I do not participate as I am a modeler. I don't like to be critical of someone else's work or hobby, but in terms of the rolling stock shown in this clip on the PRSL in 1950 there are significant errors. The RDC did not have the tiger stripes yet. The RDC did not run on the PRSL until the early to mid 70s. There are more errors. Hopefully that can be easily resolved. On my channel are some clips of my version of the PRSL....

I think you'll like this route on the dls it's the AC - Cresent Mtn Div with a addon 25 mile Spartan Div

Imagine if they made this now I’m mean the entire PRSL but K&L trainz made the rolling stock plus I’d love to drive a bud or a PRR G5 on the Ocean City Branch

Will you do Train Simulator 2012 too? It's got the Horseshoe curve. Also, I'd like to see you review the Montana Rail Link from TrainzProRoutes.

if you want to review more trainz routes, id recommend "Quahog Sub", by Nicky9499, and "Midwest Grain" by JointedRail

@TheUnknownAvenger Well, I wasn't meaning towards those, but if he'd like to. I was referring towards the IndustRail or MILW's St. Paul Pass. Also, the GHOO Megaroute is a good one, too.

G'day Nick, I've been trying to collect the various music tracks used in your reiews but I can't find the one at the start of this review. I'm sure it's 'Two Steps from Hell' but I believe the name of the track may be wrong as no TSFH track is called 'Stardust', perhaps there is a mistake here? Perhaps you could just relay the name of the track incase it may be incorrect... Looking forward to more ATR reviews Merry Christmas TTTM
